I’m actually playing a warrior, but I play with my son and he often summons a big flaming greatsword of awesome-sauce or lightning hammer of face pummeling-ness (yes, I realize neither of those are real words) and we both profit.

It bugs me though because I always have to reset the 1 skill to auto-attack so the abilities will chain, and doing this while trying to pretend to be a raging barbarian covered head to toe in heavy armor feels a little silly. “Fear me! Uhm, wait… hold on… just give me a second to click this… and, ok yeah… Fear me!!! Raaaar”

Could we please get the option to remember our auto-attack settings for environmental weapons so I can get back to kicking teeth in with my big metal boots, instead of fidgeting with keyboard settings?

I second this motion! The lack auto auto-attack on summoned weapons is annoying and actually is the main reason for not picking up these abilities. This should be looked at.

I agree that it should remember your auto-attack preference. However, I prefer to micro the number of charges for certain weapons and wouldn’t necessarily want to spend them on auto-attacking. I assume this is why the auto-attack is disabled by default in the first place.

I would also like this please. The few times I use conjure weapons, I am always a little put off at the fact I have to reset the auto attack.
the only exception is the Great Sword where I do not mind that not being auto, as I do not think it cancels the skill properly. However I would love this for the Ice bow and the Flame Axe.

Come to think of it, they should just enable auto-attack by default for the 1 skill and have it not use charges. If that is too overpowered, then lower the number of charges to 10 or 12 to compensate.

I think that would encourage more people to pick up the weapons we’re dropping more often. As it is, I think a lot of people ignore them because of the auto-attack issue.

+1 to auto enabling auto attack, or at least remember the setting for each weapon type that can be conjured or taken out as an engineer kit.
The way to keep everybody happy is probably a setting in the menu but cluttering that with options is something to consider…

I can’t imagine someone wanting to turn off auto-attack anyway, even if it is a conjured weapon.

I am sure the brains of AN will figure out what is best.

Another +1, i’ve posted about this a few times as i love all the conjured weapons and my 2 favs are the hammer and greatsword. It’s so annoying in the heat of battle (pretending to be Thor calling down the lightning!!!) you have to quickly enable auto attack.
