Dragon’s Tooth (elementalist, scepter weapon skill #2) is a bit of a problem skill for most “general” PvE situations and is almost useless in PvP due to the longish delay between initiating it and the time it actually drops and does damage. Against melee mobs (or any player) it’s suicidal to stay toe-to-toe long enough for it to connect, so it’s effectively useful only as a PvE opener or a PvE attack vs ranged when you’re not line-of-sighting the mob (or it will move and the tooth will miss) or in a group situation when you don’t have aggro.

My requested tweak would be one of the following three possibilities (in order of preference): (1) to reduce its cast time (cut it at least in half) but to compensate for this perhaps increase its recyle time from 6s to 10s and/or tweak down its damage a bit; or (2) make it a ground-target skill instead of my-target (make it more like the staff’s lava font) so I can drop it where I hope my opponent will be when it hits; or (3) perhaps increase its area of effect to give me a little room to kite/dodge and still have the mob take some damage from it (but then I’d be able to hit more mobs with it in group situations which is probably not something that’s good for game balance).
