I’ve been playing my PvE ele this whole time under the assumption that swap sigils only work with other classes who actually weapon swap (ie from sword to pistol). After reading some forum posts, it sounds like they work with Ele when we switch attunements??

Can anyone clarify this? I think if weapon swap sigils worked with ele, it would be a huge benefit for my attunement dancing build.

Yes, attunement swapping counts as a weapon swap. Think about it, you are technically swapping weapons as you change your whole bar from 1-5 from each attunement. Think of each attunement as a different weapon (as they really are different). Each time you swap an attunement you are technically swapping weapons.

It seems the sigil of intelligence was made for attune swapping, it’s a bit weak for a 10 second swap, same with sigil of doom, the poison seems just too little to not use every 5 seconds :p

For an ele I’d say sigil of battle is the best. Like you said, we’re constantly swapping so those might stakes will stay up and many eles have decent investment into boon duration as well, letting us have an extra constant 9 or so might stacks. That really helps out with our more defense orient builds.

Of course some weapons and combos can might stack to max on their own, so I guess you should look ahead before going for this one.
