Hey Everyone,

Both in game, and on the forums, I’ve seen a lot of concern about elementalists being underpowered. The concern usually says they are either too squishy, don’t do enough damage, or both.

But in my experience, I never felt this way. My elementalist feels both very survivable and very respectable damage-wise. Talk is cheap though, and just leads to back and forth theory crafting…so for anyone who is concerned that elementalist is underpowered…I made these videos tonight to show just how effective a dagger/dagger Ele in WvW can be.

Build wise, I’m running daPhoenix’s tanky/DPS build (thanks daPhoenix!)

Okay, so onto the videos…

These are a series of videos wherein my Guardian friend and I fight large amounts of enemy players inside of the dredge caves in EB. The videos are completely raw, and are of middling quality…but you should be able to tell what’s going on. If you like these, I can make more and actually comment on what’s happening in them…just let me know.

Video 1: http://youtu.be/fRw5jW80XJg (should be live in a few min)

In this video, we are chased into the dredge caves by a small zerg…and a massive battle ensues. You will see lots of crazy stuff in this video…a botched attempt to blink + churning earth, close escapes, the amazing power of mist form + ether renewal, us running into a tornado and then wondering why we are getting knocked around (lol)…it was just a crazy battle, you should watch it.

Video 2: http://youtu.be/xoUy9pZ1ZBc

In this video, some of the players (6 I think) from that zerg came back, I’m guessing to get the skill point. You’ll see why it is a bad idea to stand in churning earth, and a crazy clutch “mist stomp” in this video.

Video 3: http://youtu.be/RuGzcSWABto

In the last video, some players come back yet again. You’ll see a good example of how to use blink + earthquake as a ranged knockdown, and how effective D/D ele damage can be against a clumped up group of players.
