So I tried being a tank in pvp with my D/D elementalist but I died too quickly, so I switched to staff since I had one in my bag…. Man it was soooo much fun

Everyone in pvp sees staff elementalist and immediately starts to chase, So I run dropping cc’s and aoe’s behind me with the 30 in earth I’m inmmune to conditions while above 90% health and with all the healing I’m getting with the signet of restoration that’s the case 90% of the time. So you’ll see all the failing immob skills and eventually have a zerg of half the enemies team running after you trying to get you. It was soooo much fun

Plus with the healing power at 1500 I was able to keep my team mates alive in zerg v zerg fights. Not a single zerg v zerg fight that we lost when I was there.

Moral of the story:
Not doing a ton of damage doesn’t mean you can’t have fun. Running away is a viable tactic when you can stay alive long enough.

To bad you cant cap points running away… you know what the actual objective of the spvp maps.

Glad you had fun it’s not that easy in spvp with this meta

If half the opposing team is chasing him, they’re not capping. 1 player distracting 1+ enemy players seems like a viable tactic to me.

If you can read this then it is proof that ArenaNet’s moderators just, kind and fair.

This probably isn’t with regards to sPvP, since we can’t hit 1500 healing power there (300 traits + 165 runes + 798 amulet = 1263; chucking on that weird Air trait that turns Precision into Healing adds very little to that since there’s no Healing/Precision/xxx gear.
