Tempest DPS sPvP
Hard. If you want to go full DPS to reach other classes level (some AE benefits are in ele), then you go glass and your roll will change. But for the role change other classes have better mobility outside of combat. If i want to outrotate oponent with a power damage build i go warrior not ele …
What works are hybrid builds with good DPS. But they are exactly that. Hybrids that donĀ“t have max DPS, max support, max mobility. Your roll will still be to stick to teamfights but you get better in smaller fights.
I personaly like this kind of build and sage amulet is propably the best here. I run sage + soldier most of the time but constantly look if i can improve the build.
As said the hybrids get stronger in smaller fights. I barely loose 2:2 and still am good in 3:3 and can win 1:1. But the larger the fight gets the more the pure support shines over all other ele builds.

I was for my opinion you can’t make optimal dps or even hybrid build with ele. Reason is that there are no skills/traits that support ele on dps amulet or work without healing power/toughness.

I’ll just drop this here:

Not sure how viable it is, as I’ve only been running it in unranked(excluding a single ranked match, which we did win). I’d call it a hybrid condi bruiser build. Earth attunement is really strong since your bleeds hurt, and you barely take any damage while in it. Only problems are actually landing those skills.
Sonya for females. (necro,rev,ranger,mes,engi)
All classes lvl 80.
As other before me have said. U cannot make an optimal tempest or ele dps build. They are viable but they definately come short of hot dps builds who have more sustained dps, more sustain, mobility etc. Also Sage amulet and hybrid builds are indeed your best solution if u don’t want to sacrifice a kittenton of sustain. Just wanna say going anything less then tempest, water earth, removing either earth or water is a noticable sustain nerf, not using shouts is a noticable sustain nerf, As long as u are prepared to play a these builds knowing that u will either be glass cannon with less reliable dps(high burst but kittenty sustained damage and glass canon) or sage hybrid(builds where u have the sustain but noticably less burst damage).
They are and will be sub-optimal.
