Hello there, I’m a fellow elementalist fan and wanted to see what weapon sets people are trying out and enjoying with the warhorn?

I usually run staff on my ele, but with the debut of Tempest I want to incorporate warhorn into my build and was wondering if people are using D/W or S/W right now.

Obviously, the expansion hasn’t even been out 24 hours, but I’m sure there are some eles out there that have given both a fair amount of use so far.

Looking forward to hearing from you guys. Also… what runes are you running on those weapons? What runes are best for staff eles looking to do some serious damage, while not letting Magumma Jungle mobs wipe them out during battle?

From a PvE perspective, I’ve been running Scepter because the enemies hit pretty hard and I don’t want to be stuck in too close range against champs or bosses. Honestly see myself switching back to staff or dagger/focus offhand in a few days because -

phoenix + wildfire is bugged
fire #4 is broken still otherwise useless if I understand the changes correctly
air warhorn #5 is just awful and 4 isnt much better

I’m having a lot of success with S/W using celestial ascended gear. I’m stacking boon duration in my build and playing supportively in group events. Gotta keep those fragile zerkers alive.

The only part of the build that seems underwhelming right now is the water attunement overload. It just doesn’t do very much imo. Maybe my opinion of it will change once I unlock the rest of the tempest traits.
