Does tempest defense yield +20% damage on launched enemies or only on those knocked down? I ask because the Wiki refers to launch as a combination of knockdown and knockback and this would have obvious synergy with LH.

It doesn’t work against launch as of a few patches ago. Its an ele skill so they probably didn’t give it any buffs that would make it worthwhile.

so wait, updraft doesn’t give you the tempest defense bonus? that’s pretty stupid

Only knockdown and stun from shocking aura grants the extra damage (for ele skills).

Yes, it doesn’t work with updraft, but does with air-5 on focus. That and earthquake are the only skills we have that work with that trait.
