I posted this in another topic but i have a feeling we nay get both warhorn and sword. Here is how.

First you have to aknowlege that sword skills were mined. Saying that they are not relevent because of removal does not hold water. They were removed to be tweaked/worked on is the logical assumption.

I believe we will get sword mainhand as a new form of conjure that ties into the tempest mechanic or part of the supposed conjure overhaul i believe was mentioned.

This could be the perfect middle ground to both sides of the elite spec argument. Granted i would prefer to carry bolt but i hope people can discuss this idea instead of pointless arguing.

Unless I can skin my conjures to look like bolt and they work like kits I want sword main hand.

It’s been stated plenty of times, we don’t need ANOTHER support offhand. We have a great offensive/support utility OH and a great Defensive/support utility OH our entire class is literally built around support you have to purposely try not give it out like candy on Halloween… we don’t need war-horn

We have a single target mid range MH (scepter)
We have a aoe long range wep (Staff)
We have a short range hybrid 600 range basically single target but kinda aoe just does everything but nothing specialide aka dagger
We NEED a mele range cleave with good auto attacks on ALL atunements with active defense mechanisms to help with mele combat aka blinks,blocks,blinds,evades.

Just make the conjure changes, maybe rework glyphs and arcane while they are add it (and their respective traits) and give us the weapon we actually need.

I don’t really care if we get sword as a conjure weapon, warhorn is still going to be useless since we need another melee option, not another conjure no one will bother to use.

Ok onekilkkill i try to do something no one on this boards seems to be able to do. Look at information from more then one angle. And you are still stuborn about warhorn being a support weapon.

Look i am not happy about the possability of warhorn but at least i am trying to do something other then pointlessly butting heads.

Laraley you have the same problem. Your being pessamistic and not considering that conjures might become really useful with the supposed upcoming overhaul.

That might be true, but I’m not one of the people who enjoy playing with conjures. If that’s what the spec is going to be about, then it’s great for people who like it, but I don’t. You can’t really change the minds of people who want something completely else for the class. Yeah, we can reroll for sure, but at least I was hoping ele would get something exciting for once.

I mean if were just talking logic, we get warhorn, its going to be useless or just a preference choice at best to dagger and focus, they wont fix conjure/glph/arcane/signets/elites we will have no trait synergy with these utilities still (arcane giving condi, conjure fire shields, signets stuck in earth grand-master, glyph doing um actually idk what glyph even have that’s how bad they are) . We MIGHT finally gain a utility set that can compete with cantrips. We likely will still be forced into water/arcane/X where X can now be tempest tempest MIGHT allow us to leave arcane, or water if the utilities can compete with water. We will still be forced into celestial since our HP and Armor is kitten tier and we rely purely on boons for survival. Warhorn will not bring us any more survival than focus but SWORD could.

Instead of being optimistic anet fanboys we can speak up and let them know were kittened, it somehow worked when they announced EA and EA were going to be competing in arcane, lets keep the outrage up and we can pray we get sword. A-net has proven they don’t understand the ele class, but we as ele players do. They showed they can listen lets keep shouting so they don’t forget.

WE DON’T WANT AND ESPECIALLY DON’T NEED WARHORN. Let it be known.

Wait overhaul for conjurers?? Where did you hear that?

As far as I recall this was going to come with the patch that introduced core specializations and we all saw that changed nothing – conjurers are still exactly the same as they were before. Cast, use the only useful skill (for those that actually have one) and drop it.

When did they mention another overhaul?

I think they are talking about an overhaul that was kinda added but i think canceled because of the nerfs that the conjures were going to get like ice bow 4.

though i will say that if we get warhorn, yea i will try it but i don’t see a reason for me to keep it.

My hope for Tempest in traits are as followed:
1) at least a 10% to Damage
2) good survivability
3) Main-hand sword
4) Off-hand sword
