Good on paper but in reality Tempest is slow and ineffective. Most of his skills have a high risk that it doesn’t really pay off, due to the really low damage or control that they do, if they hit. His skills can get interrupted so easy making it impossible to use combos or attack on time while the target is on range. Many skills rely on perfect positioning or they hit too slow (lighting orb for example) therefor there are useless since they cannot hit any moving target. Very low mobility and the lack of skills that can help you escape and survive while you are focused are another issue.

This Specialization could be fun but as I said to pull off your skill you need to be ignored by your enemy and even if you do manage to use them the damage is insignificant and slow so you cannot really kill anyone!

I had the worst time fighting Warriors, Mesmers and Engineers…

yes honestly tempest really needs a rework. heck, the elite doesn’t even fit ele what so ever and isn’t useful at all. like you said it sounded good on paper but in reality it isn’t that great. it does have potential but anet doesn’t seem to really have a clue on what to do with tempest (unless they really acknowledge what some of the players suggest because it isn’t a number problem like anet they thought)

Well they don’t even have an idea about what to do with the class as a whole. Three years of random changes to traits, random nerfs, random buffs, random might adjustments, rune changes etc. and we’re practically still where we started off, except for that RtL kittenup. Did anyone really expect them to magically invent the perfect specialization for a class they had been screwing around with for 3 years straight without ever actually getting anything significant done?
