You’ll be able to kill ppl which are AFK, does that suffice?
Edit: It’s like if you wanted to play a warrior with two and a half weapon skills, would you like that?

What do you think is a nice PvP and WvW KILLER??? And why

Well, the sad truth is that Ele is not in good place in PvP now, due to the unreasonable nerfs to our heal and mobility mainly. So I stopped to PvP when I returned to the game recently.
In WvW, elementalist is mainly value for it’s ability to provide swiftness for the whole zerg (via static field) and for good AOE ability (those comes in handy while in a siege) + support ability.
Some ppl are still trying to play roaming Eles, but those were impacted almost as much as was the PvP Elementalist, so it’s really hard to play like that.
I’ve been trying to figure out a conj build where you use the 60% chance to proc Vulnerability on Crit and the +20% Damage to targets with Vulnerability while attuned to water … but none of it works.
80 Necromancer (IRNY), 80 Guardian (IRNY)
GW2: it’s like DAoC, but for the WoW crowd.

This works pretty well, but not in a player vs player encounter, therefore PvE only.

I thought it was common knowledge that eles are the red child of Anet? hmm, i guess some people need to play more to experience it themselves….anyways,
I actually dont like that idea, I choose ele because of how flashy they are and the different attunements. With that being said, if what you want to do is run around in one element, the best one right now is fire, for staff. As long as you are in a group and have a build like 30/20/0/0/20 you should be ok

I like the Elementalist im just not into the Attunement switching thing.
You’ve picked the wrong profession because what you’re saying is like the Ranger not using his pet or the Thief not using stealth.
Is it possible to make a build so you can specialize in only one attunement… And also perform good in PvP and WvW???
Yes and no. There are a few builds that are focused around a single attunement that work reasonably well. However, denying yourself acces to the other attunements locks out some potentially useful skills and if you want to win in PvP, you’d better use everything you have because everyone else will too.
However, if you must play a single element, here’s some things you may want to try:
-A condition-focused build using earth scepter #1 to stack bleeds. Combined with a signet/aura build, you’d have some added burning (maybe add Rune of Perplexity for confusion), condition removal and snares. You could pretend the signets are earth gems or something.
-A conjure lightning hammer build. You’d be mostly using the hammer and rarely touch your actual attunement skills. Works best in dungeons.
-A fire build centered around Pyromancer’s Puissance. You’d mostly remain in fire while stacking might and dishing out big hits. This would probably work in WvW zergs.
-A Fresh Air scepter/dagger build. While this would still involve attunement swapping, you’d be getting most of your use out of Air Attunement.
-A water build using dagger #1 combined with Weak Spot to stack vulnerability on a target. Far from ideal but you can get quite a bit of vulnerability, adding at least something to your team.
Those are the things that come to mind. Not sure how viable they’d be, but maybe you can make them work for you.

Well, he of course can, but everyone who plays Elementalist proffesion and have more braincells than teeth would disagree with him No offense to anyone.
“Is it possible to make a build so you can specialize in only one attunement… And also perform good in PvP and WvW??? "
Nope. If someone tells you can, he has very low standard of “performing good”.
You are able tag along sure, let’s say with some D/D fire, decent direct dmg and perma burning 2v1. Or fire staff in a 60vs60, but let’s be honest it doesn’t matter what you do with so many people around you.
I just cannot understand why would you want to play elementalist pvp with a single attunument. I recommend rerolling, really. No need to nerf yourself like that.
But Sabull, I want to play the way I want !!!
Don’t impose something on me!
Also when I am in a group no one can tell I am not switching attunements if I wave my arms around pretending to be busy!
Oh wait they can …
Attunements icons should be removed, they are elitist!

Haha, idd.
It’s all fine and good if someone uses a certain attunument “75%” of the time. Like lets say Fresh Air burst DPS Scepter Dagger or DD, constantly juggling in and out Air. Or 20-30 fire Staff Ele sticking in Fire as long as it is possible – only damage required.
This kind of play just isn’t what people are talking about when they say “single attunument”.
Have a looks at the traits. There are combinations of damage bonuses that benefits one element over another. Fire is an obvious one because of the might stacking at 30. Air is a little strange because it is not so much single line as favored line. Water was ripped to shreds, so that would be odd to stay in apart from d/d PvE support. Earth is better than it used to be. In fact, it might even rival full fire, dubiously.
What you need to remember is that the combat system is heavily rigged. The reason most good players go survival trait lines is because the ele (by dmg adjustments and global dmg nerfs) has been tweaked to the point that full offense is not an vast improvement. So, your choice is a big dps increase (on paper) that (in real time) is maybe 20% better, or a real 50-100% increase in survivability.
Use this generic scenario. An ele can cast 10 times to kill while having the lowest survival, or an ele can cast 12 times to kill while having a high survival chance. Focusing on one line when the options are limited is of little value to the entire conversation. Can you do it? Yes. Is it important? No.

I’d just like to point out that there are several Thief builds with S/D and S/P that don’t use stealth, but I understand your point.

This puzzled me, because I didn’t see the OP make that kind of implication anywhere.
By Ogden’s hammer, what savings!
Oh it wasn’t about the OP

This is a thread for someone asking for help on a build.
QUICK ATTACK HIM WITH SPREADSHEETS AND INFORMATION HE ISN’T ASKING FOR!
That sounds like the things I usually do!
