Guild Wars 2

Hey i’m going to start a Elementalist after my thief, but i don’t know if it is possible to play a Elementalist i thought about.
First i have to say that i prefer doing dungeons and maybe some WvWwith him.

I like to have a condition and support build so i first thought about the power, vit and condition Gear, so that i spread some Combo-Fields for the other to support damage and also healing. So when i read some foren, i often heard that condition isn’t very useful and people play more often crit (like my thief) so they have high dmg and a big healing amount.

Finally i need some help of the more experienced people, is is possible to have such an elementalist or do i have to chose betweens support/dmg and then what kind of build is it ?

ele is all about attunement swapping and stacking boons on yourself and allies. I run mainly dungeons, WvW and PvP. I’m primarily d/d and I wear AC exotic armor, power/vit/toughness. I have boon duration runes, precision/crit sigils and weps, and zerkers jewelry. It is insane support for your team, especially dungeons, maintaining perma swiftness at all times and perma fury and stacking at least 15 might to open during battles (can easily stack 25 might on a second pass through my attack chains) on yourself and all allies. Ele is a great for offensive boons and while other classes have to sacrifice their own dps for helping their team, ele’s do not.

I have about 600 hours logged on my ele, here’s the build I’m currently using, have tweaked it from time to time back and forth from 10/10/10/30/10 and 10/10/10/20/20.

I always carry a scepter and staff in my bag, especially necessary for WvW.

SlimGenre on what situations did you use then your Staff or better your Scepter and change of your build ?

I play Staff Elementalist as my main, first class i uped to 80. Have an Engi and Necro as Well, like them both but i consider ele my main. And as my main i use Power tough vit on set, major runes of flame legion (might change them to scholar) and sigil of fire on staff ( might switch to +250 atack bonus). I play as a AOE Damage dealer, sometimes switching to SD but staff is so cool on WvW that i cant switch it Well i use it to everything: wvw and farm.
