Salutations folks. After the patch i have been forced to change a few things on my build as it seems ive been going down much quicker.
I am now running a 0/0/20/20/30 build with the built in earth shield / arcane shield traits and the tumble abilities.
I was running full zerker gear before the patch but that was no longer viable. So i switched all my trinkets to Cav. with Beryl Jewels.
I now have 15k hp 1750toughness (buffed) 3100 attack (w/ sigil)
my crit damage buffed is about 100% and my crit chance now that i have changed trinkets is about 30% ( but with my build i always have fury up) so 50% ish.
Lastly, i removed mist form from my skills and put arcane power in.
All i can say is …Wow! this has really made this toon awesome to play. i think i actually like it more then before the patch. I can make it to the end of large engagements again. and the damage i take is no where near what it was before. I do miss not having mist form..but now that i cant heal through it. id rather not have it.
im running S/D on this build and i dont see myself changing any time soon. if anyone is having a hard time with their S/D ele. toss me a pm and ill try to lend you a hand

Hmm, what’s the gear set-up exactly?
Am kind of curious as I’ve recently swapped back to my Elementalist and have tried a new build. My previous one was a glyph/arcane build using staff and scepter/focus which worked out pretty nicely. Wasn’t super tough but it had about the same attack and crit damage as your build but with 75% crit chance with fury.
Right now, I’m experimenting with a ‘versito-build’ for fun (15/15/15/15/10) and am having fun but the stats I ended up with aren’t so hot. I guess I was trying to mix in some of my old trinkets so I didn’t have to buy new stuff while swapping in some toughness and healing to round it out but ended up with less crit chance than I wanted. Didn’t care too much for crit damage, mostly just power and crit chance with a bit of healing and as much toughness as I could manage but didn’t turn out like that

I also run a dps s/d ele. i run 10/10/15/25/10 so a bit of everything:P
Probably sounds like blasphemy, but I’m currently running 0-25-30-15-0. Full Knight’s armor and trinkets slotted with beryls and Valkyrie weapons (S/D, S/F and staff).
Been so long since I had 30 in arcane I’ve lost the feeling for the timing. I went into sPvP last night to mess around and do some dueling now that the custom servers are sort of open. With the low cap on crit-damage in there I couldn’t really get my burst build to work so I went back to a modified bunker (0-15-0-25-30 with Valk amulet and Zerker jewel). I kept getting frustrated because I’d swap into an attunement and everything would still be on cooldown, other than evasive arcana heal it actually felt like gimping my playstyle having such a fast attunement recharge (I know this is just an illusion and I felt the opposite when I first started dropping points in arcane for more damage).
Hm, may have just thought of a fix for the unkillable bunker that wouldn’t break burst (a bit late, but oh well). Replace the evasive arcana trait with a trait giving a 10-20% cooldown reduction on ALL weapon skills, then replace all the -20% cooldown traits with a trait giving the current evasive arcana effect of that element on dodge (and buff every roll but water slightly to make the trait worth taking). Maybe make the water roll effect a grandmaster so it’s not possible to take both that and cleansing water.
Well before the patch I ran 10-0-20-10-30 and I loved it I an mist form,arcane shield and teleport.
But after the patch something seemed to be off, I usually run in a 5 to 10man skirmish group and in our fist engagement I died 6 times…
Right now with my 0-0-20-20-30 and arcane power,arcane shield,teleport. And the cavalier trinkets with beryl jewels I seem to be way more durable and as long as I use my fury on attunement correctly I almost don’t feel the need to have arcane power slotted.
If I do decide to keep it slotted I am going to switch all my jewels in my armor to beryl.
Which should give me 18k Hp along with the 1750 toughness and my damage still being amazing.
I think I’m really close to having something great here.
