Wouldn’t we need some relocation of the aura traits? Because we got one i fire, air (with aura trait), water and earth (with aura trait)….
And if we use Tempest we’re basically stuck on 2 out of 4 options.

I guess it’s eather go damagy aura with fire/air/tempest or go suppory with water earth? I dunno the aura traits are kinda all over the place.

This has been discussed in great detail, yes. As it stands, “Auramancer” Tempest is an awful build. The traits are spread between too many trees, and auras in general are not particularly useful.

Yeah, the aura traits need to be consolidated a bit. Auras should also be fixed to stack duration; right now, only Frost Aura stacks.

Look at tempest line vs other lines for auras. Tempest line gives you the abitly to have all 4 aruas up from your overloads and give an added effect of healing with one passive frost aura. On top of giving you the abitly to use utirly auras. The other lines mostly have 2 auras of one type (fire) no boon for aura though other then fire. Air is one lighting aura and 2 boons, Earth is just a boon, and water is 1 aura and makes all auras aoe. So over all tempest has a lot more for auras then the other lines. Fire and earth need a fix to there aura boons and effect where fire line just is for fire aura unlike every thing else ele has and earth just has the one boon.
Tempest it self is good with aura apply effects and generating them just no boons on aura. What they need to add is a rune set that has an effect when under an aura or an when applying an aura i think that would go a long way to making auramancery tempest strong and more builds for ppl who want this class in there pt/ self generated auras.

And this makes no sense to me. The main mechanic for chronomancer was the f5, with its secondary major part being alacrity. Skill types mean nothing.

So why on earth would anet tolerate a spec where the secondary mechanic is bugged.

A third of the traitline of tempest is devoted to auras. Two-thirds of all shouts give auras.

I have been saying this again and again. If they would just fix auras they wouldn’t have to worry about consolidating them. The spec would stand on its own.

If a person hits five people who have shocking aura all applied by one elementalist, and they subsequently proc lightning rod fives times, this spec would be worthwhile.

Now its just useless tech.
