I made a guide for a D/D Ele build of mine that has proven to be extremely successful at high level competitive play. While running this build, I was able to contribute to my teams undefeated championship victory in the Curse sponsored Master of The Mists tournament as well a championship victory in the only other tournament we have participating in which was the SOAC week 3 tournament sponsored by TDTV.

Liked part about the Amulet choise. I never played D/D too much in pvp but I’ve been wondering about what Amulet is actually best choise. And you put it really well, Soldier allows you to be in the action much more, sharing those important boons, tanking damage and condition removals.
Really great guide. I’ll be sure to point people to it when they ask for sPvP builds. D/D is my favorite weapon setup for Eles in all formats of the game.
Q: You mentioned that soldier offers the better effective health, which looks reasonable. But in fights (besides 1n1) the healing by valk also effects your team. i know you also benefit the team by living longer, but wouldn’t that even numbers?
small mistake:
In the introduction to water magic you mentioned, that the player will loose 2conds when attuning to water, but equipped both cantrip traits, so it will remove 1cond through water11 if i’m right.
Nice guide, but I still think that Valkyrie is superior to Soldier’s amulet in a team fight point of view. And S/D is superior to D/D right now anyway :p

Soldier’s and Valkyrie’s function quite a bit differently depending on the build. I do think Valkyrie’s is more of a consideration on S/D than on D/D.
