Just providing you with the often tested Ultimate PvE Dungeon Trinity Roleplaying Immersive Healing Build which lets you reenact the trinity effectively. Screw staff guards, healing necros, mesmers, whatever. The elementalist is the best healer in the game by far.

The tank died early because he was bad, but the DPS warrior managed to stay up. Get yo facts straight. As an old healer buddy of mine used to say: “can’t heal 1-shots”! :^)

Either this is some kind of super elaborate meta (not the ingame meaning) troll or the OP doesn’t even realize how much his video proves the point he’s trying to question.

He healed his DPS warrior partner and helped that guy finish Lupi. It’s his role, after all.

Ahh, for the good old days when we could just blame the Monk every time we wiped in GW1.

Maybe the OP is trolling. The video shows that it doesn’t work:
- only one survives barely (besides the ‘healer’ ofc)
- the kill is so slow a sloth with disability can do it faster
- if this ele would’ve picked up an FGS and went berserker with might stacking, the kill would have been so much faster, i.e. it was not necessary to heal
- healing is just a small part of some damage mitigation. Many don’t understand this in this game. The main thing here is damage prevention: dodging, reflecting, blinds, aegis etc.

Healers exist in GW2, it’s just not optimal in a good group to have them.

PvE doesn’t need healers at all, unless it’s some world boss maybe.

Healing in WvW, I’ve found, was extremely effective. When attacking or defending a structure, not only can you blast your own water fields easily with arcane wave/ earth dodge for around 2700 healing, activate your heal for a good 2400 healing(runes of water), but your staff auto attack 1 heals for 1100 every second, and if you use icebow, it can heal for 1500 every second. That’s amazing when pressuring a gate under AC fire or targeting people near your melee train when they run in.

It’s a different playstyle, and you have to approach fights as a healer who CCs rather than a DPS who occasionally tosses out a heal every 45 seconds. I found it fun, and my guild could see a difference in survivability just from one staff ele.

But I’m running zerk in WvW again, because big numbers are also fun. =p

It bugged me when I realized that in GW2, you can be a good healer (for what healers are worth in PvE) while wearing zerk.

I approve the OP’s initiative : It’s about time the EMO bonder comes back to GW2 >_<
