Q:

well the patch seems to have changed a lot of things for underwater eles….

Anybody found a list of decent combos and or tactics?

As a dungeon player i would apreciate a lot….

GW2 balance:
A PvE player is supposed to avoid a 1-2 second 1 shotting aoe.
A WWW player is considered uncapable of avoiding a 5,75 second aoe for half his health.

A:

I do basically what I’ve always done, except now I include the fire field. Lure your opponent near the bottom or up against a wall and then:

Fire 4 cripple, 3 blind, 2 fire field
Water attunement
Water 5 into the bottom/wall for 10-15k damage + leap finisher
Water 3, 2, wait for 2 to hit then detonate both for another 6-10k damage

Fairly easy to pull off and does a lot of damage in a short window (~8 seconds with the burst hitting in a 3-4 second window).

My main tactic is to swim in circles while autoattacking my target. So far, it has worked for 99% of the underwater enemies I’ve faced, including the fractal jellyfish boss (which I could probably solo if only it didn’t take so long…).

If you can read this then it is proof that ArenaNet’s moderators just, kind and fair.

actually if you try to solo that stage you die anyway by kraits in plants route….

I noticed since patch that in that route you can pull some serious damage since patch (while before only water 5 did some)….

Boiling Water>Ice Wall>Detonate 3 stacks of might and pretty good aoe damag. Throw in tidal wave for fire aura if you have aura traits.

Murky Water>Ice Wall>Detonate>Tidal Wave 3 secs of group invis and 3 secs of self invis. Fun but not very practical out of combat since you can’t aim murky water without a target.

There’s more of course but I think these are the most useful or interesting ones.

If youre using aura build, leap+firefield is nice.

Bute there seriously isn´t all that much, just 2 fields, leap and blast (earth projectile isn´t worth mentioning really).
