Long time ago, in GW1, elementalist had Burning. Lovely condition that was available only to 2 classes ( 4 if you count professions that apply it with only 1 skill out of ~120). So that was 2 (4) out of 10. And that’s how we KNEW we were elementalist.

Now days, not only that we have weaker dmg, weaker Hp and have to control over 20 skills just to Still be weaker then 3 skills Warrior/Thief , now Everybody has Burning -.-

Since one of the 3 biggest problems ( 1. Survivability, 2. Synergy, 3. Damage) is DMG, I tough that I could suggest idea that might fix our DMG and slightly breaze off also on Synergy

Elemental Sacrilege

  • condition available to EVERY Element (at least 2 skills per element applying it)
  • possibility to trait in at least 3 trait lines ( duration, variation(Fire-..-..-Earth) and combination (with utilities) )
  • stacks in duration
  • Particles can change color and mesh by the element used…for flavor ( similar to Ether Renewal)
  • MUCH, like 200%-300%, Higher DMG then burning
  • MUCH Lower Duration then burning

This condition would add more damage to our builds, synergy to our traits, and encourage Element swapping to all 4 elements CONSTANTLY, not just 2-3 traited ones!

We would have again something unique and useful, not just be a wash up of other professions…

Personally I’d like to see the elementalist removed from the game, its just not working and it will NEVER be fixed considering they’d have to basically redesign it from the ground up.

I don’t understand what was wrong with GW1 elementalism, it gave people the choice of what they wanted to specialize and MASTER. In GW2 its just a jack of all trades and master of NONE.

Don’t get me wrong I think GW2 superb in its world design and mission design, but for me its like a back stab at the moment.

I think there are better ways of making Ele more powerful.

I disagree with this mainly because it FORCES elementalist to swap attunments like a mad bunny. Everyone should be allowed to play the way they wish. Sometimes I prefer to stay in water for half of the battle to heal, sometimes I will stay in earth to apply bleeding condition.

And disqualifying this playstyle will make Elementalist very booring, even provided it will boost their strenght.

XD You guys want completly redone elementalist XD

  • Raven, you don’t want an elementalist … you want ______(insert element here) Mage… that means delete Elementalist, create 4 more Scholars
  • Sera, I also wanted to master 1 element and wreak havoc with it, my dear Water ..but that requires total redone of the elementalists

Guys ..this is ANet …they are lazy at best ….all we will get ofc will be some minor buff on dmg and thats it XD
They won’t even touch HP or traits …god forbid redo a skill or two
