While the current change to the downed state is pretty good, there’s still the issue with Vapor Form adding ‘death penalty’ whenever it’s used. While it can be seen as a balancing mechanism, I would just like to point out that it’s actually punishing players for staying alive too long. Ergo, it feels like you’re being punished for trying to remain alive for too long. And that’s quite frustrating. Isn’t there some other way it can be balanced other than punishing people for staying alive?

This was fixed awhile ago in a stealth patch. It now resets ur health to like 70% and is very nice in PvE… If the mob gets u to low, pop mist, and back to 70% and rally. Lol

Edit: Go to Mists and test on svanir if you’d like (training one, not in a match)

Fixed in PvP as well? I seem to remember handing over 5 points every time I used Vapor Form and my name popping up on the right side of the screen.

It counts as u downing urself again, but doesnt increase downed penalty

This. It used to drop your health with every use, but has recently been changed. Someone else (Kilger I believe) claimed this and tested it in another thread, and I went home and tested it as well, and it doesn’t decrease your hp anymore. Which is nice

Wait, so it really doesn’t increase the downed penalty anymore? That is really nice (sucked killing one self by using vapor one too many times).

afaik, it sitll add more death penalty. You can die from instant death after using it too much.

It still adds downed penalty in PvE. Dont test it in heart of the mists, its never added it there.
