Viable Staff Roaming build?
I play ele exclusivly with staff. When i roam i use full knights armor and a berzerker ammy and the other trinkets are the hybrid berzerk mixed with some vit.
Oh and my staff is caveliers also it drpends pn the dtas you get from traits. I usually usr traits as an outline and fill the rest with the armor
I use zerker gear and 0/0/2/6/6 or 2/0/0/6/6 with staff and solo camps and towers no problem.

Here is my staff roaming build that also works pretty well for zerg-fights. You need experience fighting every other class to know what how to make them eat as many interrupts/disables as possible.
Here is some advice:
1. Bind look-back or use the free camera for when you are running. You should be constantly dropping aoe fields behind you while baiting your enemy to soften them up.
2. When you feel they are sufficiently softened up, swap air (when they are in-range) to proc a lighting bolt, drop a static field around them while lighting flash onto them, use gust (air 3). If you do it right you will get 4x lighting bolts almost simultaneously to burst them down when they don’t expect it (air swap, LF, gust proccing fresh air, static field proccing fresh air which you pushed them back into).
3. Play zerker ele a bit in pvp. This will teach you to use your offense as your defense. Against melee enemies, your best way to survive is to drop fields ontop of yourself constantly to make them back off. You can’t as helpless as they will think, as you have LOTS of dodges while they keep ticking away eating your lava-font/meteor shower/ice spike/etc.
4. Cover your heal/meteor shower with your cc and LOS. Try to time it so you get an interrupt with it too so they take damage and have that wonderful weakness on them.
You can also switch it up and take soothing wave in the 2 point for water if you don’t want cantrips. I sometimes like to have glyph of ele power and signet of air instead of armor of earth and cleansing fire. Glyph of ele power is one of the highest skill-cap abilities in the game, and learning when to get that perma-weakness, who to get more burning against, who to get more cripple/chill against, and when to save it for a stunbreak is a big difference.
Is there one? I am fairly new to ele and have a gear setup of all celestial trinkets, Knights armor and zerker dangers, but if I switched the daggers with a rampaged’s staff and moved some traits around would it be viable?
I am asking you guys because i only have 5 hours on my ele and I’m guessing you all have tried this at one point in your time on ele.
I have a pretty large weapon collection… maybe 40 or so unique exotics and 2700 hours of gameplay on my elementalist.
I really like the pyromancer’s puisance but its not ideal for roaming unless you are really used to running around as a glass cannon.
As you are celestial/knights I’d say go for the standard build slightly tweeked though. 20066 or if you don’t need the additional condi removal. 40046
Runes of Strength are the best. Cantrips and spellslinger trait in fire are also quite nice.
