Viable soloq builds?
Elementalists are poorly designed for 1v1 at present so you want to avoid it where possible, your value comes from buffing others unfortunately and hoping other players understand when to support your weaknesses (which ofc is less likely in a pug) Elementalise are also not really bunkers anymore against equally skilled players, so its all about smart rotation. Burst builds only really work against low skill groups, anyone with half decent skills will destroy you.
WVW PVP is a different story ofc, there’s a lot more scope there to play with higher dmg builds.

This is what I’ve been running this season. Don’t “bunker” on a point; your objective is to heal as much as possible. Always be a presence in teamfights.
If you want to use auramancer on lower tiers you need duo buddy (rev/necro) Basically you should support those builds that need your heals for sustain in teamfights (necro vs anything and rev against condi). The problem is that necro/revs on lower mmr tiers fail usually at doing their job (killing everything) and will rotate you in really not fun places.

There are no viable ele solo q builds. I suggest you try other classes like mesmer or thief.

Well the thing i miss on ele is map mobility. But with swiftness it´s soso. I feel it on forest. Forest matches are very diffrent. Foefire is the map i win most. For me this shows i can carry if i am able to be present where needed.
My build is maybe awkward but it brings nasty surprises.
Usually anyone stupid enough to strike into my fire aura dies ^^.
It still has has significant support, doesn´t die to fast and does way more damage then auramancer. It´s healing is significantly lower but thats not a huge issue in solo Q.
You can use lighning flas instead of cleansing flame. I also swap flash freeze for aftershock depending on oposing team. I you see oponent is all power and has bows go for the later. If you see necros and mesmer i usuay stick to cleansing flame.
The build is quite condi burst resiliant and absorbs power in earth which makes it quite tanky. Boon corrupt is the main nemesis in teamfights.
I tried a lot and using arcane instead of fire is an option but for me fire somehow feels better. Unfortuantely the fire traits are a bit lacking.
It usualy can´t kill a warrior (especially using ire) if he can play he will wear you down …. Other eles are stalemate as usual, necros are dangerous but beatable 1:1. It usualy wins against burn and traper guardians solo or in teamfighs and it destroys most thiefs and revenants. Mesmers are also dangerous. Too much constant confusion. If i encounter a mesmer that is good at timing interrupts i loose.
So if you try it out avoid warriors and get down necros fast ;-).
I also expect it will have a learning curve. I already struggle playing it diffrent. I expect things to happen subcountious or swap in some situations as reflex like put up fire aura, blow down oponents using block defence or especially use magnetic wave…

Sorry i am not pro. Could i ask how u do with:
1) condi pressure. staff mesmer
2) hard CC. Overloading in fire and air almost always interrupted by Rangers / Mesmers.
3) mobility. Almost dead thiefs just run away! only focus air 5 could help))) cripple in eath and ice shout 600 radius. Short bow teleport …
1.) This is an issue. I either bring down a mesmer fast or get killed by constant confusion. I recognized the better i get in playing the lower is the threat.
The build has a lot of condi removal. If the mesmer (also thief) is close to me it can mean his death. 2x cleansing flame. Shure the auto one often doesn´t hit due to range.
So removals: 2x cleansing flame, 1x magnetic wave, 5x shouts (soldiers), 1x phönix.
It is condi burst resistant or single condi classes like burn guard. Constant multiple condies can be a problem. That also why i attack necros frontal and then i often win.
2.) The autostunbreaker is quite powerful. I actually got used to it recognizing the cracle = superspeed. I indeed lost games due to this after trating aura on OL ….
Also earth OL helps me a lot. Yes a CC chain can be a problem but even if i am hit by a 1 or 2s CC i can swallow the damage. Shure well done double CC and focus will kill me out of earth very fast. My experience is that i have no problems most of the time. I watch out on wariors and there are doges and blinds in the build ;-).
Overlods are situational. Fire is mostly a downcleaver, air an opener under swirling winds. Earth a stunbreaker i also use to put up stability and criple oponents for the team. I also use fire if i am not targeted. I stay off point and when i think it´s a good moment go in burning them while they fight a teammate. I basically play offensive support. And rangers ? As soon as a ranger or guard tries to shoot me hes mostly dead … Very often i see the ranger flying back himself .. If i get interrupted i just move on in rotation.
3.) This is the main problem i face to carry matches. I have swiftness but thats it. Manny thiefs die on condies while disenging. For thiefs it can be an awefully deadly burst and most only have shadowstep to save them . If not or on CD = dead. (remove on doge won´t help since i might not attack)Runing doesn´t stop condies.
Zerker or marauder thief doing a standard assault, even more cruel with basi venom, for 2 seconds might just die. I started to build and train the ele to beat thiefs since they were my main problem in WvW roaming and then the build evolved. with HOT i startet to PvP and tempest did fit me very well, even with disliking water traitline.
A good thief tested to fight me in WvW (duel) and admited he can´t win if i play it save. In WvW i use a viper/cele mix so i have more armor and precision but less healing and life. It´s fitting my style better and thus more powerful.
A thief can usualy only disengage. Any tryhard attempt leads to his death. Had a thief fighting me for minutes by constantly disengagign and using obstacles. Then i droped to 20% and he though “Gotcha” —> he was dead. Most think ele prey ahead or hes nearly dead hit him more which is one of the main situations i win. They forget watching their condi bar and my boons/auras ….
Classes i have most problems:
Warrior: I avoid them. I usually can´t kill them and also disengaging is near impossible. He wears me down. Not fast but mostly. Of course if he burns his berserkers stance and misses burst it´s possible…. A good one with cleansing ire is like a rock for me. If he uses rousing resiliance it´s diffrent and my chances rise.
Mesmer: Hard to fight for me. Can catch them with surprise if i get close it often woks. Guess i loose 80% …
Other ele: total stalemate. So as usual just builds are diffrent.
Necromancer: While in 1:1 its 50:50 in a teamfight he must be focused or ruins my day ;-).
And i am also not pro. I win by surprise of my non meta build and by training ele. I won´t be able to train multiple classes to the same level. The build has a learning curve als most and i am not at the end of it… Basically it shifts healing to more offensive support and damage. In solo Q this works better then healing focus.

Engis are at least not a great threat but yes they usually don´t die fast….
If you are EU we can duel ;-). But i can only use warrior to a decent level beside ele.
