[Video] The Broplex (Broski's build)
Generosity and Battle don’t stack. When one procs the other is put on CD, for now at least.
Second thing I would say is Scepter/Dagger has a much higher affinity for a Celestial/Balanced build, mostly because it has better access to conditions, hits hard, and has better access to might stacking, which is really what helps a balanced build not do pitiful damage. Also means you won’t get kited around so much, but D/D works okay if you’re good with it. But that’s just my opinion due to what I play. Scepter/Focus is pretty cool too.
Usually when people pick a trait like Written in Stone or Cantrip Mastery they stick with one set of utilities, or pick up other non-utility involved traits if they’re gonna use several different types. You’re spending two trait slots for just Signet of Fire and it feels like a bit of a waste to me. You seem to have a fair bit of healing power so I would probably go with Cantrips. If you’re having trouble keeping up with people I’d go back to signets for the immobilize and chill.
I don’t want to make you sad since you’ve already spent a lot of laurels most likely but you would get more stats out of slotting Celestial for Head/Body/Legs than on the accessories side of things.
Rune choice is fine since it gives you access to another condition.
My aim would be to get used to something closer to 30/x/30/x/x, because of the new traits up and coming, but if you’re having fun with this go on ahead.

The thing is with S/D I really don’t know how to play with it. I’ve always been a D/D person, maybe D/F but the scepter… I just don’t like it lol.
I see what you mean with the Celestial. I was just working with what I had at the time for my armor and didn’t really have any interest in crafting for Celestial so these are the stats I managed to get. But you’re right, Celestial helps a lot.
Everything you’ve said is correct and the sigil thing was kinda new to me, but I wouldn’t know what to replace generosity/battle with.
As for the new traits I’ll be theorycrafting with those when they’re out but for the time being I’m planning on sticking with this. I really want to use Blinding Ashes plus the Rune of Balthazaar buff looks promising.
Wanna here the weakness of single target builds for ele? If you cant kill them fast enough you run the risk of getting pressured and killed (thieves ruin every potential build).

I haven’t really had a problem with thieves much. As soon as they get hit with Signet of Fire they run away asap. Burning is a frightening thing. The engis are my bane
I really don’t find burning so overwhelming…
Looking alright, quite balanced. Generosity and water traits solve condi problems and always can switch to Ether if needed I guess, with might stacking also a bit of raw dmg pressure besides condi dmg. Let’s hope they won’t start nerfing condi eles even before they get popular
Focus vs engis and they die or suicide :P With d/d it is troublesome since most engis spam condis fast and try to kite you around with all the cripples and chills, only coming close when they wanna use pry bar…
For now Perplexity rune really seems to be only viable thing (even if lot of ppl cry about it – but if they are good then should be able to pay attention to that confusion I guess) for condi ele or any class that has low access to condi types. Let’s see what the patch brings. That Baelfire (or w/e the name) from stream looked promising.
30 in fire for blind every 5sec trait seems ok too, but not sure if it will be worth to go there probably at cost of survivability (or just sacrificing earth traits for me), some 30 0 0 20 20 or like that – we will see.

Burning is actually a pretty funny condition. It melts classes.
…
I was pretty surprised when looking through the focus skills again and noticed #4 earth cured 3 conditions. When the hell did they add that? Lol
Yep and reflect on top of that. Engi confusion, poisons, burns and bleeds back to him xd
Been playing around with the build a bit more and taking into account what you guys said. I think all the stats look fairly decent without losing any crucial survival skills or traits.

Changes to the build:
• Gone back to 20 in Arcana and 20 in Water.
• Played about with some armor and managed to get the Healing Power to roughly the same amount without having to go 30 in Water.
• Surprisingly enough the Magi stat has a use finally! I’m using it in place of the Assassin stat before for the extra Precision/Healing Power/Vitality.
• Battle and Generosity do not work with each other so I switched out Battle for Bursting. (6% increase in Condition Damage)
• The helm/coat/leggings are now Celestial. Can still keep 40% critical damage and increase the other stats a little bit.
If I always need more Condition Damage I can easily use a stacking weapon.
I was thinking maybe not having Mist Form as my second utility and maybe switching it out for Arcane Shield (and change Renewing Stamina to Arcane Mastery) or Cleansing Fire. What do you guys think? If I took Cleansing Fire that would leave me with no stun-breakers though.
By the end of today I’ll have my last trinket but I’ll still need to work on the Celestial armor which will take a while to make. The next time I post here will be when a video is made. Sorryyyyyyyyy
Alrightttttttttttttttt! Video time!!
I know I waste dodges sometimes and one thing that annoys me is that I cancel my signets most of the time which can be a real pain in the ____.
Let me know what you think, how I can improve and whatever else. Every little helps!

Edit: since I now use Arcane Shield instead of Mist Form here’s an update to the build link http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vEUQJAoYhcM6c2zwsBf0AARhLmMeEyIkUUEzMA-zUDBYjgIOAUgAk0gJfCi5QYpRI5Rol1FRjVPLRqaC1qFY+EYECYxaA-w

I watched it and it’s not bad a hybrid damage I would personally take some of the apothecary pieces and change them to power pieces get to about 1600 damage. Thats just me personally if I was to run something like this on ele.
Still was a good video I was confused by the necro getting all those condition on him then I saw the other necro hit it with spite.

Lol, even I was confused. I thought I got a power up from somewhere but then the necro appeared… I was hoping for a 1v2 in that fight tbh
If I sacrifice the Apothecary for some power stats what would I choose instead of it, Rampager’s or something?

I would go with soldier or valk or zerk, basically anything with power main stat. D/D stacks might so well that I feel like you could slack on some of the condi damage and boost your power up.

Oh I see. I wasn’t sure whether you meant power with condi dmg or main stat. I’ll give it a try and see what I can come up with.
Do a carrion apothecary mix
