Starting to just record and pump out videos of WvW. This is just some footage from today. Will be updating it normally during the week with new videos each day, and hopefully of better footage as WvW was mainly blobs during footage time.
can i have ur build?
Kind of bunkerish fighting. That thief fight was killing me he didn’t get the memo about the icd on perplex runes they added, running condi with sword dagger+dagger/dagger.
Dat 19k hp though but crits look decent some valks in there for sure.
What kind of gear do you use with this build?
He has an attack of 2700-2800, about 40-50 percent crit damage, and 30 percent crit chance. About 2700 toughness.
So most likely 0/10/10/20/30.
Meaning a mix of Celestial, knights, valks. Probably trav runes.
pretty good guesses. It’s pretty cookie cutter actually, 40% crit chance, 80% damage, high 2700 attack, mix of celestial, valk and zerker
Are you finding issues with toughness? Because honestly whether i’m 2400 or 3000, my survivability seems the same. I’m finding a bigger damage output just works better all round.

You find you sweet spot that you are comfortable with then pump into damage or whatever your main choice is.
It should be about 2.4k to give you enough reactionary time from a typical 10/30/30/0/0 thief backstab build. With that said my personal point is 2.6k.
You also must be bringing scary damage to put them on the defensive.
Bigger damage is much better. I use to run the -40% condition duration food for a while on my Ele then I stopped and go dps. The best thing to do for necros(which is mostly why you run it) is to dps them down.
Ahh ok, i’ve been playing around with a high (1k) heal build, but have found it lacking.
I’ve had some success on my 0/15/30/15/10 build, 100 crit damage, 3k power and 40 percent crit chance.
Yesterday I tried a heal/condition build, (700 heal/1900 condition), it was terrible.
As you said, unless you can put out high quick damage on thieves the fight is over as everything is in their favour form the get go.
Only times I’ve had an issue with the toughness was when I’ve tried fighting groups of 3 pure zerker thieves or rangers, as they are excellent at closing gaps and just ruining my day… but then again its more than 1v1, never experienced issues in 1v1s. Only time I ever really lose is to perplex builds when I’m not paying much attention
I feel that with a build like this spiking is never too much of an issue as you have so many ways of negating the damage then healing it. I currently run at 800 healing power as well
Oh and I have over 3,500 hours on thief so they are pretty darn easy to read and fight against
