yeah i really screwed up with the chat box. I’m using window’s movie maker which is just really BAD … there is no way to edit out the chat box or put a picture over it except a stupid caption. I need to find some better software.

Most comes from playing staff as it is easier to get kills but I play dd frequently.

Hi,

First part of the video around 1 minute mark is me bursting a guardian down. Although it is really tough to burst a warrior down I have done it but didn’t get the chance to record it. They were of course dps warriors … and did not get their CDs off in time. Other then that its pretty hard to burst a good warrior down in one rotation.

This video was mainly just to show the burst potential of this build

Depends on who I’m fighting but just to give you an idea I have 2600 armor.

I think he has 30 in arcane for the Evasive Arcana, dodge roll procs an attunment based spell. =) Unless my eyes deceive me.

I want to pick your brain and know your secrets. My play style is very similar but I have no where near the burst that you do. =(

Your new video brings back a lot of personal memories when I used to roam in wvw with d/d. I’m pretty confident you are using the exact same build I did with d/d. Gotta love how ele can burst without being glass.

Naaah he doesnt have 30 in arcana. He doesnt even have lingering elements. Though there is some fights where he uses a diff build.

I pretty much got it figured out, what he is running, all traits at the least, I have an idea on armor / runes / trinkets :-P I will be testing it as soon as I get a chance to play again, kitten college papers… Unfortunately for everyone else, I will not be sharing the “secrets” because we need all the powerful Ele’s on Henge of Denravi! Lol

I was thinking of utilizing Diamond Skin in a power/burst set up and your videos show that it’s possible with certain amount of skill and experience.

As far as traits go I can assume the following:
15 Air: Zephyr’s Boon
30 Earth: Stone Splinters (?), Rock Solid, Diamond Skin
15 Water: Vital Striking (?)
10 Arcana: Renewing Stamina

By the way traits are only half of the build, what interest me most is your gear/weapon stats, runes, sigils, and food.

Right now I can think of something like this
Sigils: 2 sigils of force (with Stone splinters this gives almost permanent 20% damage increase)
Runes: ___________(would very much like you to fill the gap here, thanks ^^)
Armor/weapon stats: full berserker(?), half berserker-half cavalier (?)
Food: 100 power 10% crit damage (?)

I am still learning the class so the build wouldn’t help me. You play very well. The things I need to work on are the combos. Like someone earlier said you do have a fairly set combo that you start many fights with..then adjust how the fight develops.

I was just on my ele and can’t figure out what you are doing with LF and Burning Speed. I don’t see any combo there

HAHA , new game I like it. Um…. as for that screenshot i posted. The toughness is actually wrong I did +60 instead of +30. I need to learn to multiply apparently. So that works out to 1821 toughness and whatever that turns out to be in armor

To get that healing power / condition damage you can have a full set of ascended celestial armor and one divinity rune.

If this is correct, then the other runes are a set where the 6th rune isn’t worth it. Something like citadel.

Hey guys. I love searching builds for my ele and just came up with a few. Guys, try to mix valkyrie with cavalier and berseker, using the following traits: 15/20/10/15/10. The trairs i’ll leave to you but get as max dmg increase as you can get. Its an awesome build. I personaly think that diamond skin is pretty un efficient against good players, due to its restricted activitie (90% health). Cya

this is what I was thinking.

2 runes of the Pirate, Hoelbrak, and Fire, will give you +75 power and +60% might duration.

Thats killer because you can stack might and it essentially never runs out.

25 stacks at level 80 is +875 power and condition damage. (I think those are the numbers)

Also, your video prompted me to mess around with a new build and I must say it is DESTRUCTIVE. Not as tanky but it hits like a truck.

It’s weird being out of the arcane tree, and running more zerk gear than I’m used to, but this morning in WvW I popped off a 10K fire grab and insta-killed thief who had just popped out of stealth into my dragons breath.

Must not have been a very good thief, but nonetheless its fun to say you finally got one of those kittens.

Thanks for giving me the nudge to finally break away from the x/x/x/30/30 mold.

But I would like to see some gameplay with lets say S/D, D/F, S/F.
There are many build guides with alternative weapon combinations but no one uses these to roam in WvW these days.
I am just asking because almost every roaming video contains cantrips and D/D.
While it may be just reality that this is the most viable combination, I as a unexperienced WvW player would love to see how peopls utilize our other weapons.

Anyone challenge accepted???

i am assuming you also have +5 power on each of your weapons. 3162 Attack
+5 toughness to all your Armor +30
+5 toughness on your 3 trinkets +15
+5 Prec on you 3 trinkets.
