Vitality or healing power?
Do you have any decent amount of toughness from gear (say around 1400-1600)? Remember Scepter gives you a free 250 toughness. If yes, healing power. Don’t expect to heal the party at all tho, the healing power is only for you.

Healing power also affects the passive signet of restoration to keep you nice and topped off, healing power is great for staying alive, because after your vitality is used up (after you take damage) you don’t have it any more! Whereas healing power, especially with ele who has a fair amount of healing spells healing power can help both you and the team. I would recommend using all of your attunements, with points in arcana so you can get back onto earth quickly, because the extra blind, chills, healing and CC you gain from the others are a great bonus and probably shouldn’t be ignored!
I say both. You don’t want to have 0 Vitality from gear and a ton of Healing; likewise, you don’t want to have a ton of Vitality and 0 Healing from gear. Vitality is basically to keep you from getting one shot by hard hitting abilities (in case you eventually fail to dodge), and to give you more time to get out of harm’s way. Healing is about being able to top yourself off after losing a chunk of health. Personally, with ~15-17k health and ~1k+ healing, I am really hard to kill.
I recommend using some Soldier’s (Power, Toughness, Vitality) gear from AC/HotW, and some Cleric’s (Healing, Toughness, Power) gear from crafting. And the good news is that, since all this gear also has Power on it, you’ll be able to kill stuff in addition to having a lot of survivability.
I agree with Amaethon, but if I had to choose, I’d go with vitality. It may take longer to heal than otherwise, but you can survive a heavier hit and, if you can escape, it’s quicker to take a breather and come back than it is to have to respawn and/or tie up another player resurrecting you.
