Warhorn needs its own niche back
I like warhorn for the Fire 5 when I rotate it with fresh air Overloads. By using the fire line it gives a 10 second fire field on a 20 sec cd that does very good damage, combine that with superior healing in water with 2 heals and a mobile water field that you can blast at least twice with a dagger main hand its quite nice. The on demand magnetic aura and prot are quite nice in earth as well.
WH niche is a staff like set of skills but in more of an melee range. Think of it like an staff that only has its 4 and 5 skills for each atument for the most part (ya there some things that do not work out right but for the most part you have some what the same effects coming from WH that you see from staff’s 4 and 5) mostly the support side.

I agree that fire 4 should go back to sharing every buff, but with a max duration. I would also like to see air 5 granted more damage, like a lot more. Make it a slow scary object you need to avoid. (like a small aoe overcharge that moves forward) I would also like to see earth 5 made mobile again (Or did I imagine that happening….XD) Anyway, I think if the dust storm slowly moved outwards it would be better. (With 3 storms of current, the dust would slowly move outwards from your character in a triangular pattern.) So it initially punishes you for being close, then for being far, but no longer up in melee.
Otherwise, I’m enjoying the warhorn. I do also think it has good support when paired with the right build.

This is what I use for my support based tempest. It does decent damage, can hard rez pretty well, heals allies, remove conditions, hard to focus down, grants protection and other boons, can help secure kills that can’t be stomped, safe stomps.
It lacks mobility and ability to buckle down, when compared to dagger and focus. However, it does some of the above better than those two weapons.

Agreed and it needs way more than boonsharing Fire 4/ boonrip Fire 5 to be useful. Well, at least in PVP.
And for the love of god, please change the sounds for it! I still can’t believe they are not placeholder.

I’m enjoying the warhorn, but air 5.. is just so slow and easy for enemies to avoid. At least it’s fun to launch it at a stationary enemy, run around the enemy and attack it from one side as air kittens it from the other.
It would be more useful if it was like a BFG attack, with lightning arcing out of it, hitting enemies it passed. From what I read it’s supposed to do something like this already, but it doesn’t seem like it hits out at anything, or maybe it’s radius is too small.
I’m still hoping they change the warhorn skills (fire 5, water globe, dust storm) to work like warrior’s flames of war on torch. When the speculating began on the datamined horn, i thought they were going this way. I want to be a walking firestorm Anet.
Or maybe just have them look at air 5. Its so slow and awkward to use, i’m pretty sure i can manage a /laugh emote before casually moving out of its way.

Well, you kind of are a walking firestorm with the fire overloading, and a moving globe of water with water overloading. And earth overloading’s platform is neat and funny. Fire 5 and water 5 are good. Air 5 and Earth 5 could be better.
