I realized this after trying to find the perfect outfit for my female elementist. We need pants! is dress after dress, mini skirt after mini skirt. I only managed to find 1 pair of pants for light armors. Thankfully it as pair I could use and came out with decent biker chick look.

Yes. Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes. Elementalists (and medium armor classes) need pants. Not frilly short skirts with thigh high boots, not a tutu, not a trenchcoat, but we seriously need pants. I’m not talking about the poofy pants that can be crafted, but yes, medium and light armor classes need a pair of pants.

Agreed. We definitely need more pants. I’ve found all of four pants amongst all the armors. Two of those are cultural armor, and the third is Priory only. They all also have skirts or flaps hanging from them.

It’s remarkable how many leg armors are named pants without actually being pants. At best they are long flowing robes with leggings underneath.

Then watch as the forums turn into kitten storm of how Arenanet is sexist and blah blah blabh blah.

I do agree we need a higher level of costomization, I was walking in lion arch and I saw 5+ characters within 1000 m that look exactly like me and that makes me sick. We need more bars or faces, we need some elonan and canthan face or bars that let us customize every single detail. And we need to separate the boobies from the body types.

When I got Priory armor, I though my ele was wearing pants underneath. Turns out it’s just the pipes and not the actual pants…

Pants are a crutch. Real elementalists run around in the buff.

Its getting stereotype impression…. light armor on female… as naked as possible, while light armor on male cover up most of the body part. (I wouldn’t call human tier 3 or vigil light armor sexy at all!)

While female light armor need pant, I want anet to get into some real design and make ele armor (or light male armor) show more skin.

I think you can attribute this back to western culture. Cultural icons tend to lose clothing when they “power up”. From Marvel’s Hulk to DC’s Superman, when a hero unleashes their power, off comes their clothes. Targeting their products at this prime demographic of consumers, it is only natural that the developers of other countries adhere to this trend.
