So i just made an ele. Im using staff for open world pve and planning to use it for WWW aswell.
My question is it it viable? And which would be a better pvp option;? scepter/dagger or scepter/focus?

Staff is just the the best elementalist overall. In WvW you’ll feel you can really control the battlefield. Nothing equals a well placed Meteor shower either.

Focus will keep you alive more, if you run focus then you should run Marauder’s amulet instead of celestial. Personally I prefer d/d. Scepter is a bit unreliable when there are mesmer clones all around.

Staff is all round good for WvW. Keep power and precision high for that.

Most ele players say that cellestial gear with daggers is top pvp and for WvW roaming. This ele type is a jack of all trades with high surviavability but not easy to play.

For a 1:1 and small groups the scepter is good. It´s my main weapon set runing S/F.
I do activ support by disrupting my target (Blindspam, knockdown, vulnerability , firefield + blast finishers).
