I quit just as the rtl nerf hit, and decided to give gw2 another go and logged with the hope of the new ‘fresh air’ builds. Retraited to the path of 0/30/10/0/30 – as daphoenix recommended.
Went full zerker and to my surprise i had a pathetic 12.3k hp even with 6 ascended pieces… (Hope this is normal)

This is not a QQ thread, and could someone please be kind enough to briefly sum up the options of the ele now. For example a simple; “Staff or scepter with 0/30/0/10/30 is the way to go now”. Would help me immensely. Just need a place to kick off.

0/30/0/10/30 is a Scepter/Dagger burst build that excels at dropping single targets quickly and stacking 25 might for the entire party. Revolves around Fresh Air to get Lightning Bolt every 2 second without staying in one attunement.

Thanks for that. Yep, I read about this so I came back to give it a shot, but just wondering if im going the best path possible

My fresh air builds goes for 0/30/0/10/30. General Scepter’s strategy is to stack might to your party, general fresh air strategy is to switch to air every 5s to activate lightning bolt and the electric discharge trait. That’s a lot of damage – burst and sustained. You should quickly kill anything before dying, and you’ll have perma vigor and healing-on-dodge for your survival, which coupled with your weapon skills, is more than enough for general pve.

I run with all the weapons. They are all the way to go. Depends on the situation, the battle, the boss, the party, Pve or WvW, etc. I use one build for all the weapons. I switch weapons in a dungeon and in WvW allthe time and I am not about to waste time retraiting. If you think 12.3 health is pathetic, I agree. I agree because I would die too often with that health the way I play. I recommend to set that to a level you can live with, so to speak.

In other words, play the way you like with what you like and how you like. I for example would not be caught dead with a build designed to stack might. I’ll cast a fire field. Let the other players build their own might! I have better uses for my utilities. Does that mean my Ele is kitten? Absolutely not.

Make adjustments until you get a fit. That is part of the fun of the game, experimentation. And the goal of the game is fun. Well, at least for me.
