what build does he use?
didn’t play my ele for a long time and I’d like to start some sPvP :-/

Weapon set is scepter/focus. He does not have anything in evasive arcana so my guess is he is running a 30 30 10 0 0 all for damage output. He runs 3 arcane utlities and spams them all at once for massive burst damage. This is without a doubt an all or nothing build he is using. Just look how fast he downs.

He has soothing mist which means 5 points in water.

So, for a more or less beginner (player tPvP and WvW a lot with warrior and ranger, so I actually know what I’m doing) what build would you recommend for learning the class?
I’ve been running Scepter Dagger this evening and it was so much fun in sPvP – Can’t wait to try it in tPvP.
Any other ideas?

my current favorite build is a bunker condi ele d/d. Though it is very unpopular and no one uses it. I happen to play it very well. You can do 0 30 0 20 20 or 0 30 0 10 30 which will improve your survivabilty alot. Run two arcane utlities instead of 3.

I run S/F build, more based around dealing with power builds then condition builds. I enjoy it. It is a very high skill build, 1 single mess up can cause your doom. Fighting conditions will cause your doom, unless played well, then you can take on necros like they were nothing. 20 15 10 15 10

I ran into a high damage Mesmer yesterday. He almost 1 shot me. The he went and fought my friend, eventually calling him unnatural because he couldn’t 1 shot him. Funniest thing is my friend runs staff ele for sPvP. When he had finally dropped my friend (3 minutes later) my friend auto ressed back up.

In the video he is running 20 (6, 7)/30 (6, 9, 12)/0/10 (6)/10 (5)

He says in the beginning, that he uses another build for PvP :-/
