Guild Wars 2

I noticed there are several equipment sets in the TP (and probably in other places as well) and I was wondering which ones do you use and why.

As well as, I am kind of wondering what is each set’s circumstantial benefit? Like… All I know so far is that Berserker’s is best for Damage Dealing if you go for full fire trait… But why is Sentinel set so expensive and what trait does it go with well?

I also know there are equipment sets you could purchase from NPCs with Karma (but I don’t know where the NPCs are and what the sets are like yet…) and I also know you can craft your own stuff if you have the Tailoring craft… but I am not sure which ones you could craft since I am barely level 250.

If you have gold and resources to spend:
- Zerker set for pve
- Knights gear for pvp/pve
- P/V/T
- Ascended rings p/t/crit damage/zerker etc
Can’t go wrong with these.

Sentinel is so expensive because there is no real source for this. That stat was introduced during a living story part and could only be (successfully) found in the end loot chest of that dungeon. Since that dungeon no longer exists, there are only so much sentinel pieces around.

As a basic outline if you are just starting and you don’t have too much experience with buildcrafting:

- Jewelry (rings, amulet, earrings): berzerker.
- Backpiece: Soldiers (From grenth temple). If you do fractals of the mists dungeon, get the berzerker backpiece instead.
- Armor: PVT (Soldiers) or Celestial
- Weapon: Berzerker, Celestial or PVT (depending on your playstyle)

Im pretty sure that berzerkers is the only set in the game-don’t think the other ones work.

Like everyone said, zerker for pve. For WvW, not so much, since you’ll just rally enemy players when you die. So you’ll want something a bit beefier.

But whatever you decide on doing in the end, make sure you have +crit damage stuff on your trinkets, since it gives the best ratio for crit damage to the replaced stat.

Crit damage is best placed on the trinket’s upgrade slot, not the actual trinket.
