When i see Fresh Air i say : “Sounds good, with… eh…” and then i say : “…With what Fresh Air would be good ?”

Why i can’t see where this trait is useful ? Maybe because i do mostly PvE, but really, i can’t see any use of this…

on the contrary, the new earth trait is very obvious…

Explain it to me please.

It’s really only good on the scepter for putting out consistent ranged damage in PvP (where people walk out of your staff attacks)

-Scepter #1 hits hard (okay not really that hard) at range
-Attuning to Air strikes with a lightning bolt (15 point trait)
-Air #2 is instant.
-You can channel Air #1, swap to a different attunement, and due to the really high attack rate, Fresh Air will proc almost immediately.

Put it all together and you can do a good amount of damage every few seconds to a single target.

I tried to run this in berserker+cavalier gear with a 0/30/0/20/20 build but the damage is terrible for how squishy you become (at which point I realized that my D/P Thief has more health, armor, survivability, and damage). It works decently well with a combination of Knights + Soldiers though, so just run that.

(This is my opinion, you may feel that the trade off is worth it)

you can build more swiftness while in combat, gives you more lightning strikes…. that’s about it. I prefer the other air trait that gives damage boost on downed foes add to that the water trait that lets you do more damage on vulnerable foes while in water atunement + lingering atunements providing a 40% damage boost to your burst.

It’s not useless in PvE. Read what people have said. In EARLY testing with it, it seems optimal for a S/D build and is very nice for consistent as well as bursty damage.

Fresh Air is for Scepter Dagger glass cannon. And is extremely powerful in small scale pvp.
It is to be able to use Air15 and Air #2 burst as often as possible.

You can even chain it for pure Air rotation from range:
x. Blow all ur fire skills
1. Swap Air proc Air15, use Air #2&#3 and channel #1
2. Swap to Earth or Water during Air#1 channel → Crit
3. repeat from 1.
→ that gives your permanent fury and swiftness with arcane (that you should have) and the extra Air15 procs.

When you swap out of Fire with power scepter dagger. This is the only way to do damage. So thats the use.

Use fresh air in pve if you’re planning to use a burst build focused around the air element. Bolt to the Heart and Air Training for your other air traits, go at least 10 points in arcana for the minor and the Elemental Attunement trait, and pick sigil of fire and at least two instant damage utility skills (arcane blast, arcane wave, lightning flash).

You’ll get plenty of swiftness and fury for getting back to air quickly. Start in any attunement you want, switch to air while in battle to activate air’s 15th minor trait, use your 123 skill sequence while under the 2s fury and your arcanes alongside it, switch to another attunement, switch back to air, activation the trait and 123 again.

That’s a strong and quick ranged burst. Played akittens best, you can probably start at earth with Hurl (switch to air before Hurl’s animation finishes), do the air sequence, and by the time you switch to fire, you can get your ring of fire and phoenix affected by fury, and follow you fire grab and dragon’s tooth to air attunement to renew your fury and for the air’s trait (for the +10% damage while in air). That’s strong.

An extra 10 points in arcana works well for the minor 15th and either for renewing stamina (dodging is king for surviving in hard pve content) or for arcane mastery (especially if you go triple arcane – more access to arcane shield, and you burst more often). Remaining 20 points is up to you, you can max arcana for EA (I don’t think the grandmaster arcane trait is worth it), or go 20 water for both minors, for Vital Striking (+10% damage while you have high HP – you’ll use and finish you burst before most enemies even hit you) and for whatever else you want or need from water.

Berserker gear is not as useful as it might sound. Sigil of Fire can’t crit, the arcane skills are auto-crits, and you’ll have all the fury you need forr extra critical chance, so valkyrie gear is much better than berserker’s. Valkyrie offers the same amount of critical damage and power than berserker does, it lacks precision which you shouldn’t need (make sure your off-hand weapon is using sigil of accuracy – and you’ll consistently get near 50% critical chance without food), and it loses vitality for the much more useful (to elementalists) healing power + toughness combo.

First off, fresh air is currently bugged, it doesn’t have an internal cooldown so you can literally spam switch back to air as long as you crit. (this has been reported)

The point of fresh air is to give you the opportunity to get out of arcane. While it’s obvious use is in an s/d build, where it’s pretty much an extra 4k damage every 4 seconds (in it’s current state), I can see it being using in d/d build as well.

A d/d ele could spec 0-15 points in arcane, and thirty in air, and use the air auto attack while waiting for other attunements to come off cooldown.

However, remember one thing though, if you can not kill Opponent in that ONE burst, and you are ALONE, you will DIE. There will be no escape for a failure. Keep that in mind as well if you want to build it for PvP or PvE.

It’ll get nerfed. I tried using it on dagger but it’s not that effective.

I’m used to my attunement recharge rates and switching to air every time it refreshes (I know it’s not exactly necessary, but it’s one more thing to pay attention to) can be a pain in the butt.

Also, I can’t give up Zephyr’s boon (lack of swiftness is THAT annoying, and bolt to the heart isn’t worth it), arcane lightning (new addition to my traits) and aeromancer alacrity (need to have gale on 40 seconds cd or I mad)

Most people are liking it cause it gives you access to 2 instant scepter skills quickly plus the 15 minor trait, but AT the cost of putting an entire attunement on cd for that small burst.

There wasn’t a reason for 90% of the nerfs we got since launch, didn’t matter, they still nerfed us. Trust me, fresh air will get nerfed. Probably fast, swift, unjust, and into the ground.
