What there should have been for Elementalist
I would like to have a attunement outfit for Elementalist.
When you change from fire to air you get another outfit color.
You know, from red to purple, and it needs to be completely customisable.
so you can change colors like now.
Hope you like the idea.
i want to hear yours too.
A new weapon with an ability that changes based on the last attunement the Ele was in. For example if I switch from fire to earth the ability would be akin to “lava ball,” whereas water to earth would be “mudslide.”
Kinsman Redeemer – Hammer/Shout Warrior
Proud Member of Opposition – Jade Quarry Oldtimer
Cool idea, Gondram.
I’d like to see elementalists gain bonuses to particular abilities the closer they are to their favored elements (based on how many points in a given trait). For instance, my Water 30 elementalist should get some kind of bonus near or IN water, while a 30 fire elementalist should be somehow stronger in the presence of large fires or lava or something.
I would have liked to see somewhat usefull and cool elite skills…
Since the elementalist is a master of the elements and can manipulate it at will, I want to be able to rip the air from someone’s lungs. I want to be able to squeeze all the water out of a human body, streaming it out of all its pores and leave it a dry dead husk. Or ride that air scooter that ang rides on in the last airbender. They should change ride the lightning to ride the air scooter.
But on a slightly more serious note, I want to be able to ride my elementals. Especially the fire elemental. Actually, just stick me on the air elemental and that’d almost be like riding an air scooter.
a) An elite with a cooldown below 2 minutes
b) An elite that we cast ourselfs instead of a pet, a transform, or a new weapon
c) Avatar State elite
Those ideas wouldn’t have to be exclusive
I would like the ability to conjure endless amounts of bread and water in varying qualities and I want to be able to cast group portals to major cities and make a living off of that.
All I want are swords. Or maybe actually using my daggers to attack, instead of just kinda gesturing with them like those guys that guide airplanes on runways.
Ele with greatsword would be kitten o.o
We already have the fiery greatsword so I can still dream XD
And yes to “Avatar State elite”!
I’d just like the class to work as they intended it to, allowing for mono, dual, or tri attunement builds instead of every build being bullied in to the stance dance tree.
And don’t tell me the class is working as intended, a mere cursory glance of the traits and abilities shows they intended to have this functionality, but they failed and now are trying to hide it by saying it was intentional. Why did they say all the way up until release day that every class would have low entry skill level and a high skill ceiling; then mere months after release turn full-circle and claim they intended for the ele to be a high-entry level class? The elementalist is practically useless until you hit the skill ceiling, and It shows an incredible lack of integrity that they won’t just admit it.

Being able to douse fires (and burning) with water healing skills.
A sword mainhand as a weapon. With different ranges depending on what attunement you’re in. Fire: heavy hitting AoE skills, burning, melee; Water: Support, heals, slows, vulnerability, 600 range; Air: High single target damage, mobility, blinds, stuns, 900 range Earth: Cripples, bleeds, defense, 1200 range (or with varying ranges within the attunements themselves… or something similar like that), like a (balanced) mix of all the weapons we have now. That would be sweet imo. Maybe in an expac?
Nobody would use anything but swords then? But I like Gondram’s idea. I would also like something similar, a system where we can prepare customized spells, where we take a long time to mix and match “meditation” type spells and then unleash them all at once, with varying effects depending on what we used in the combination.
Sigurd Greymane, guardian
~ Piken
This would probably make us hilariously overpowered, but I think it’d be neat for us to be able to assign different weapons to each element.
On a serious note , I’d like to see a true melee option for Eles. Maybe sword or mace.
Hammer: hard-hitting, mid-range aoe weapon, for example:
Fire: Molten boulder – knock back and applying burning to in straight line
Water: Tidal wave – heal and regeneration to allies, damage and vulnerability to enemies
Air: Supercell – for 10 seconds target enemy and enemies around him in X range get dazed and blinded for X s (the aoe is locked onto target enemy and moves with him)
Earth: Aftershock – for 5 seconds, enemies around you get knocked down and crippled every 2 seconds (the aoe is locked onto the player)

I would love to see greatsword stuff for an ele.

^^^ An Avatar elite skill depending on what attunement you’re in at the time would be hektik as. Dunno why they didn’t do that from the start.

Yeah. I can see why we have elemental and greatsword (they are just more awesome versions of normal utility skills) but tornado is just wrong. Indead of it we should simply go Avatar, which changes your 20 weapon skills into more awesome versions. Could still have a nerfed version of tornado in it in earth or air then.
I’d kill for such an elite.

Why? For having different ranges only? You could balance that around utility, damage numbers and the like, it’s not hard to think about that, come on.
