It was removed because it was a semi-crappy trait. Fire Aura is not all that powerful, and if you are playing properly you will rarely ever activate your signets, so the trait was never used.

The Fire Aura portion of its effect was added to the Conjurer trait though.

O_o the trait was used and now with tempest it would open a new build dimension. I don´t expect it comes back. When i imagine a signet build where i can take Fires Embrace instead of conjurer, i see permanent might stacking fire auras that heal me. I would be 100% uptime.

Shout auras are a lot better then signet auras on tempest.

It looks like that they have made it so for the most part its one line per utility only cantrips seem to work different. Though i have a feeling we my see that cantrip effect on fire line go away in time.

It was a trait the devs decided to clean up for a good reason. I can understand the need to give some clearer boundaries on skills that grant Auras. With that in mind, you can give more to other “less-raliable” way to grant auras.

Ember Signet builds did in fact get a lot of Auras application for little effort. And considering the existence of such build, elemental bastion would have been risky to implement considering its existence. All this caused by the abnormal aura application of 1 build.

For the Conjurer trait, Conjured weapon are not exactly the stuff you can spam. So it is fair.

The problem is, without auras there is absolutely no use for a signet build because it doesn’t have any defense from its utilities. Make Written in Stone give protection too when using signets and there might be something.

So aura build was kidnapped by Anet and we should pay the ransom (buy HoT) to get it back. Not too creative but a nice blackmailing.
And shout aura is still much worse than signet aura.

Now that they removing might on cantrip from the fire line it would be even odder to see an signet effect on the fire line. Your not getting fire’s embrace back becuse i no longer fits on ele’s one line per utility. Better to ask for an stronger effect from the earth lines signets utility +.

Also, I wouldn’t mind getting an earth-themed aura on signet use

I can’t wait until ANet releases the game promoted in the manifesto.

The trait was not weak, the weakness was (and still is) that the signets are pretty crappy.

Never and it will be forever missed. The sacrifice for tempest was not worth it and ele was somewhat slowly moving away from cantrips but nope we have to kill possible diversity. Balancing base classes around their elite spec was,is and will be a terrible idea thief lost Acro, ele lost a decent signet build.

We definitely need more signet support. Almost all the other professions have an effect on signet use + cool down reduction. Also: Aura builds shouldn’t have to chose between earth/air. (given that tempest aura sharers are all going to be running water for Powerful auras)

Auras are not utility skills. Cantrip skills but not cantrip effects are found in fire and earth. You can only changes cantrips by going down water line. Fire is conjar wepons earth is signet water is cantrip air is glyph arcain is arcain lol and tempest is shouts. To let more then one line changes how these utility skills work would make that utility set have an advantages over the others.

Aura on signet use may be a bit on the strong side beyond fire aura all though its an GM level for earth maybe it would need to be a very short lasting earth aura say 3 sec.
