Just a quick question.
Cause i wanted to make an ele with healing stat as primary.
I’m using STAFF at the moment (water), but I was told that scepters heals more?
Can I ask for some opinions here?

use staff for hot
offhand dagger for healing burst
evasive arcana and elemental attunement for heal burst
healing signet for continuous heal.

apart from that, i don’t really get what you want to do.

Staff has auto attack heal, nuff said.

If you want to heal yourself, D/D with Evasive arcana, heal signet, healing power 1k+, dwayna/water runes.
If you want to heal other players, staff with Arcane blast, healing power 800+, dwayna/water runes, and the Water XIII trait.

i really don’t get the purpose of this build.

in wvw, healing comes from blasting waterfields and it’s a fixed amount of healing
in pvp, you can still be bursted too fast to be effective over longer durations, plus, you got a guardian for that job
in pve, nobody needs healing.

so ?????

Okay basically I want to something that can heal myself and party members.
I was wondering if there’s any other weapon aside from staff that can achieve this (or even better)

Staff is your best bet, mate. Drop down water fields and then blast them with the heal skill that’s a combo finisher (forgot the name), or any combo finisher for that matter. If you put healing stats into your build and take that new water grandmaster trait, you’ll be a healing machine.

well, if you want to go that way, a healing medi guard is probably THE strongest healer in the game, with a 9k burst heal and 2,5k healing dodges, plus healing on every medi and buff an allies

for personal healing it doesn’t really matter which wep you use, probably d/d all the way bcause of the high autoattack of signet of restoration. When going in group you need to go all the way staff when fully specced you can heal up to 700 hps (regen+soothing mists) water attunement swap reaches about kitten hp, blasts+cleansing wave up to 3k and autoattack water up to 1.2k. Note though that you’re gonna lose a crapload of dps on your armor though when you’re going all the way healing.
For PvE i’d recommend to go vit healing condi with some krait runes (you’re not gonna reach the numbers above by far that way, but you will be able to pull off a signific amount of condition damage with eruption.

For WvW i’d recommend clerics or nomad if you really want to go all the way healing. note though that most of the healing in wvw comes from blasts so you’ll be a bit less usefull over there.

How does the blast influence on water fields? I mean, is it even matter if elementalist who put water field has 500 or 1500 heling power? Will you get more healing if player who use blasts has more power or something?

Don’t forget to equip Superior Runes of the Monk if you’re aiming to crank up your team heals as much as possible.

Small-scale WvW, roaming with a party, it can be useful to heal up allies with your own finishers as well as theirs. In zergs yeah you just want to give fields when they’re needed, and watch everyone else use their finishers.
In PvP… yeah Ele is too squishy to want to focus on proper healing. Celestial stats are usually preferable if you want survivability. You’ll never kill anything and not bunker very effectively compared to a Guard (or even Engi now) because you lack any decent blocks.
In PvE? Healing allies in PuGs can be dead useful. Playing with an organised group? Yeah just roll zerk and roll over everything.

honestly even without blasting them waterfields heal a lot more than they should for WvW even in large scale battles. sigil of water is also effective for that and sylvari healing seed is the beast of healing keeps them heavies up for days. but more important than healing in this game is SUPPRESSION. Stun enemies put flashy abilities like lighting storm ice storm and firestorm down put up that static field put up that earth wall drop the immobilize and bleed from the earth set put swiftness on allies from lighitng, put a blind on a random mofo while your at it too. always drop all your CD before switching attunement or putting away an ele weapon. make enemies afraid to advance or unable to do so and you will do a lot more for saving your allies than heals ever could. and while your healing them anyway drop an ice bomb drop that sexy chill field and pop a glyph to grant yourself regen (with trait) because a dead ele saves nobody.

The staff ele is a multipurpose character. Good long range single target and AOE DPS , Good Long range AOE CC and Good AOE heals. You are a must for any average sized >10 player fight. Your positioning and ability to follow commands to the letter are key.

The mediguard is a must have in many group situations >4 players

They are used together.

For healing power you see diminishing returns past around the 700ish mark while i advise no more than a 1000 if you must. While i would say the least is around 500.

The DnD ele really isnt your heal bot though the DnD ele can heal quite decently if u are very close. Dodge heal + Water 5 can equate to instant healing of around 7k at 700++ healing power.
