I often hear people talking about PVT but I also hear about Knight’s armor since it was suggested in that guide posted on this forum. Which do people usually use?

Mix of those two is quite good.

It kind of depends on play style and how you want your build to work. More survivability = more PVT gear etc. Play with it. If you are really unsure just go for a balance at first.

knight/pvt/cleric’s mostly for d/d.

Seriously, you can’t go wrong if you mix those 3 in some shape or form. Heck you can prob. throw valkyrie in there too (but i don’t recommend it)

PVT/clerics, I use knight’s/cavalier’s/berserker’s

knight mostly with runes of the pack
Weapon are pow prec crit and pow prec cond, backpack and necklace are PVT, i have some heling and vit on earrings but i will change them soon.

Berserker mostly with some knights and cavalier amulet.

It depends what type of gameplay you are interested in: WvW, PvE, dungeons, sPVP?

In PvE and Dungeons I use mixed Berserker/Rampager gear with 6x runes with +Boon Duration and Berserker weapons. I survive by using my Skills (cantrips) and my traits (0/10/0/30/30)
My Elementalist is only 20 in Fractals so far but have no issues, while in any other dungeon I perform very well.

Full zerker’s with scholar runes/ruby orbs.

Zerker gear with Superior rune of the Eagle. Might switch to Scholar soon. That goes with all my weapons, I also use Staff, S/D and D/F.

I don’t follow this “D/D elementalist” or “Staff elementalist” nonsense, I’m an Elementalist, leave it at that.
