just got curious on leaderboards, who is the top elementalist player? who are they? and what weapons and builds do they go on to?

I don’t know who the top elementalist is but usually pro eles run celestial amulet with arcana, water and fire traitlines depending on the opponents team and they play d/d. Air traitline is viable if enemy team has lots of eles, mesmers and thieves and not so much condition damage but in general fire traits are better. They also usually use rune of vampirism. For sigils i would recommend sigil of energy and then leeching, battle or doom.

On NA I’d say Phantaram is arguably the best player to learn things about ele from and he plays ele on the top team in NA. His twitch page has a lot of helpful builds and videos and he streams a lot. You can go to this stream and ask questions about ele stuff, which is pretty helpful.

On EU theres Denshee, Lypion, and a bunch of other people, and theres tons of other eles on NA that are quite good.

Runes tend to vary. If you go fire D/D (which is the best right now until it gets nerfed if it gets nerfed), I’ve seen everything from hoelbrak, to vamp, to strength, or even flame legion (to abuse burning). For earth D/D with stone heart, most take melandru or mercy runes to be more of a bunkery type.

heard of phantaram, he offenly uses s/d and he is quite really good, well dd burning eles are quite burning this times but i seldom see air which gives more survivability, i wish to see how ele’s handle the offensive warriors this timesm i want to learn from on how, anyways thanks for the answer guys

The best way to survive offensive warrior is to have armor of earth up for their rampage. The rest is dodging and running away as far as you can.

bluefox? if you say so you are, if you dont mind ill ask how do you deal with warriors? gs/hammer or gs axe shield? in wvw they kind have a great burst skill that can knock out any class in a sudden second

That’s always the most important thing! When it gets to top elementalists, they’re all pretty close, so the ones who stand out are the ones that look real nice.

Denshee is a great EU Elementalist. His team, oRNG, won the last WTS tournament and he is a very good player.

Phantaram is a great NA Elementalist. His team, the Abjured, has consistently dominated the NA scene for basically forever, and they won the first WTS tournament.

Both Denshee and Phantaram are highly skilled and technical players. So they’re both good to watch.

There are other great Eles out there, but they don’t really stream.

I personally enjoy watching Cmc when he does stream. He always has an interesting perspective to listen to, even if he hasn’t really been a top player.

Skovex was one of the best… Serane is good and still plays but mostly WvW. For PvP Denshee , Phantaram. All good elementalists.

Karl is the best elementalist.
Did you not see how he killed the svanir with his superb tempest play style?

We’re all forgetting the best elementalist of our time… Intigo. My hope is one day, he’ll return to us.

Although I will agree with the above posts. Both Phantaram and Denshee are incredible eles to watch.
