Like would it really be that gamebreaking? There are so many restrictions and consequences when using overloads. Why can’t they just make the ele at least immune to damage or something, you can’t damage storms…
Nerf numbers if you have to but at least make them useful.

Yah, what could possibly be broken about relatively damaging AoE attacks with party buffs making the user completely invulnerable for 4 seconds… and what could possibly be broken about a player having access to 4 seconds of invulnerability every 5 seconds…

Really now, c’mon. Asking for overload buffs is one thing, but this is just ridiculous.

Yes itd be gamebreaking if eles were immune to dps while overloading, especially if u take fresh sir, thatd just mean u guys would be perma evading high dps demi gods…

Then you add a mechanic where you can only invuln every 60-75 seconds during overload.

Celestial tempest doesn’t even need water or arcane to be able to sustain and holdpoint in a 2v2 on a sidenode for like 10 minutes. The overloads generally are completed if you have a brain when you decide to pop the overload.

A 5 sec invuln / evades on-top of what tempest/ele has as an class would make it able to have too much even if it was on a 60 to 75 sec cd. Its better to ask for maybe more stab from existing effects.

No it shouldn’t. The only Overload that should have Invul is Water Overload. As I wrote before, Water Overload is very lack luster. It heals for like 600 per second. If you’re under pressure, using the Water Overload actually makes you die even faster. It is the only one that needs an Invul.

Gray out the HP for future condition damage

NO! please, please just NO! It would indeed be game breaking, for elementalists.
As ele you have 3 skills that already grant full invulnerability: Obsidian flesh, Mist Form, Vapor Form.
This is also not counting partial invulnerability Ring of Earth, Swirling Winds, Magnetic Aura, Arcane shield, Diamond Skin trait and in it’s current incarnation “Rebound!” that negates lethal damage, heals you, then if in earth drops a Magnetic Aura.

Think it through fully, we already have an insane array of survival skills, if you were to become invulnerable during overloads then the devs will need to cut some of the survival on the current skills and each has it’s own niche and it’s own ballance and reason for existing, not to mention massive nerfs for damage across the board that would be required for a class that can possibly have near permanent uptime of some sort of immunity. I would rather just have a usability fix for tempest and some small trait rework. The stability and stun break on overloads is only there to actually make the overloads usable, be happy you got those at least or tempest would not be usable at all.

Feel free to disagree, i won’t mind, but i think you may want to consider all your survival options before asking for what would most likely be permanent invulnerability.

Overloading does need some improvements but this puts invuln overloads so poetically.

well there are two things.

1.) Stablity on overloads is a trait to pick. This is a major nuisance.
2.) Water overload is near unusable. Especially you canĀ“t use it on demand is a problem here.

Thats all for me and i even think stability as pick is OK. (Of course i would love it baseline)

but
i would like to have a little small buff(s)
1) overloading 4 sec → 3 sec
2) while you are overloading you can switch your attunement
3) overloading recharge 20 sec →15 sec
