Anet didnt listen to any cooldown problems, or survivability problems with these few patches, why do they care so little?

They kill-nerf our highest dps with a ‘ferocity’ change, and circles among our meteor showers.

Are there just no staff eles left to speak out or what?

Earth Armor has a lower CD, you have access to Stone Heart, that’s a start for survability.

Dps in sPvP was barely changed by ferocity. If anything the sigil and runes changes brought more power creep than anything else.

The meteor shower circle is not that much of a problem since it’s really big so most players don’t really pay attention.

I suggest you check out morderger’s twitch.

I’ve been running zerker Staff, both pre- and post-patch, and wow is it fun. I don’t die stupidly often and I output ridiculous damage. I get downed constantly, sure, but Lava Tomb is an incredible trait for a Staff nuker.
I can solo NPCs on Foefire/Niflhel in seconds, I can clear a node my allies are fighting on with MS, I can take out most other zerkers incredibly quickly (though smart Thieves still just evade/blind everything, and smart Wars still have stupidly good sustain with those invincibility stances).

MS circle is slightly annoying, but considering you’ll plan to use it over an entire capture point anyway... the change (actually a fix, for consistency with other skills) only really affects midpoint on Foefire.
Ferocity removes a little bit of our DPS, but it also affects everyone else, which is definitely good considering how squishy we are. There are also the ’new’ runes and that second sigil slot on your weapon - both excellent changes.

I’ve not actually gotten round to playing with bunker/support Staff yet, but it sounds pretty good with the new traits from either Water or Earth - and it can bring very high group condicleanse with the un-nerfed Cleansing Water. Cleric’s or Celestial amulets could go really well for them.

All I hope is that someday Arenanet lower the cooldown of some skills and eruption so I can start comboing with fire and finish with earth for instance.

You do know that fire has much more damage than earth, yeah? It’s actually beneficial to have to switch to fire when stacking up might, since Staff really can’t do condi so much of its damage comes from fire attunement.
It also means that you have more flexibility after casting the blast – if you suddenly get a lot of incoming damage, you can switch to water for healing or frost auras (usually not great, but the auramancy traits are pretty great for Staff when you remember that it’s AoE aura and you can blast multiple times for longer boons). Casting the field first means you can’t then change what you blast in, should something unexpected happen.

You can run Staff Ele on specific maps. The problem is that generally if you aren’t queuing with a group your team will lack coordination to maximize the utility of a staff lee.

PvP noob here. Trying to make my Staff Elementalist work, but have found mixed success. I like the idea of a defensive build, so this new Stone Heart trait sounds pretty awesome. I’ll have to try that.

But, I’m kind of lost as far as sigils and runes. What would be most beneficial? Any other tips for PvP Staff?

I have been holding points like a boss after patch with a cleric staff ele in spvp. Using cleric trinket monk runes benevolence/water sigils and 0 0 10 30 30 traits. With another bunker like guardian you aren’t getting us off mid point.

staff was designed to be versatile, but it has more limitations than benefit
they are never going to streamline it because no one at arena net takes it seriously in regards to non-Mediocre-support pvp
