[WvW] Frontline ele build help needed
You forgot to create the quick link. That’s just a link to the gw2skills.net editor.
Wooow, my bad. Thanks for pointing that out.
when I run my my tempest on the front line I typically have 3k armor and 19k health. No where near that amount of healing power and I have no issues staying alive. With no might or blood stacks I’m putting out about 1k more effective power than that build. Personally I think anything over 800 HP is overkill. Although if you’re going to be on the front line there really is no reason to be on staff. D/WH otherwise loose the tankiness and drop back to the backline.
The healing power is probably overkill, swapping to something like wanderers or commanders trinkets would improve effective power and tankiness a bit. Also forgive me if I’m way off base as I’ve only backline ele’d in wvw, but wouldn’t losing the hard cc’s/waterfields/soft ccs outweigh what you would gain by taking d/wh? or is the might sharing/extra 2 auras/blasts generally valued higher in the front line.
Running a staff for a frontline build?
You ought to use dagger mainhand with dagger , focus, or warhorn offhand especially since you want to fire off overloads once in a while. Worst case, scepter (I really don’t like scepter even after buffs).
Unless you want to be a terrible version of a druid, I’d advise having more power and less healing power. You’re better off with say 1900-2000 power and no precision than some precision, a terrible crit damage, and 1500 power. I’d also put in a stunbreak.
(note the tooltip doesn’t count +10% heal effectiveness from sigil , can also use commander’s earrings if you PvE in raids / switch to Knight’s earrings if you do not have Strength in numbers from a guardian)
In your backline: Elementalist+Mesmer+Necromancer
