WvW d/d build
I have also tried s/f in pvp and had fun with it, is that even viable in wvw though?
I tacked this together:
Weapons: 2 x Soldiers dagger. You can get these for 300 Ascalonian Catacombs tokens each. If you do all three paths per day this will give you a little less than 200 tokens so you should have this in 3-4 days if you keep it up. AC will also give you > 1,5 gold per path, so this is also a good source for money.
Armor: Knights. You can buy these armors off the TP (trading post). Search for “knight’s exalted”. All pieces cost about one gold, so that should not break you.
Amulet: berserker’s. Get this from the TP, search for “ruby orichalcum”, costs like 4-5 gold
Rings: Knights. get from the TP. Seach for “emerald orichalcum”, costs about 4-5 gold
Earrings. berserkers. Get from TP, again 4-5 gold per piece
Backpiece: Soldiers, with ruby jewel. Get the soldiers piece from the grenth karma vendor, the jewel off the TP, the jewel costs like 50 silvers
Runes: 2x Monk (buy with AC tokens or find runes when doing AC), 2 x Superior Water , 2x Major water (get from tp, both are cheap)
Sigils: battle + force (get from TP). You can only get one sigil of force as a reward of one of the fort trinity storyline missions. The sigil is socketed in a green weapon.
Buffood: griffon egg omelet (sells for 3 coppers on the TP and lasts 60 minutes), hardened sharpening stone (a little more than a silver per piece)

Thank you for the build, is healing power not too important for d/d? I see so many switch to water and next thing I know they were back to full… thats why i thought they would run clerics or soemthing
The “original” DD-bunker indeed used soldiers armor and clerics trinkets. But that was a different meta back then because signet of restoration was somewhat buggy and procced multiple times on certain spells (like hurl) or evasive arcana. So eles got even more out of healing power back then than they do today. The Eles that did not switch their gear since then might still run it (not everyone is gladly spending dozens of gold to get new gear every time the meta changes).
Usually wealthy Eles today will opt for celestial armor/weapons instead. A lot of roamers aim for about 500 healing power (300 from traits, 200 from gear). With the currently available stat distributions on this will give you a lot of headroom to spec crit damage to get some really good burst damage. Keep in mind that outlasting your opponent no longer works as good as it did back then (it seems to be more like other classes can outlast the ele instead) so you want to spec damage instead.
