I’m new to the ele class and was a bit curious to what a standard staff dps build trait setup was. I’m not looking for a support build or semi support/dps. Any ideas?

What game mode are you talking about?

WvW as it says in the tittle

I pretty much use Dekey’s one, goal is to do max dps in dungeons, same as wvw in my book.

Dps ele is Tricky.

Needs a strong sense of positioning, and rotations to maximize damage.
Also needs to be able to escape thieves focus or other roamers near the zerg.

This offers reasonable time and tools to react, while dishing high dps (for www more than this you can just take a PvE build but i think its too risky).

But if you are new to the ele i suggest using this with some celestial or PvT pieces.

The most used dps build is almost the same minus 10 point in fire, that usuallu goes in arcana for elemental attunement (that i don t really like in this build).
