Okay let’s be realistic, many of us, especially those who just hit 80, don’t have a full set of cele gear, let alone enough to even make a difference. So what would be a good set of armor and trinket stats?

Are you talking about roaming or zerging? Most zerg staff Eles do not use celestial gear; they use full berserkers. You can sub in some Valkyrie or marauder pieces for more survivability. Celestial gear is more often used in a d/d or d/f brawler build.

Full berserker on a staff ele in WvW makes you a rallybot. If you’re following a random commander as a pug, surely you can get away with it. If you’re trying to do well within a specific WvW raid group/guild, you shouldn’t go full zerker.

Celestial is not the best armor for staff ele’s. With celestial you’re spreading your stats out too much, making your power really low and getting too much healing power and condi damage, stats that you don’t even need. Combining zerker with soldier gear is what I find most ideal since it keeps your power at max. Other alternatives to combine are knights, valkyrie and marauder stats.

Blamming the commander for YOUR missplacement ?
if the commander does stupid moove, you should always able to run away after you did your job as full zerker ele
Have you ever been in any optimized wvw guild to claim that staff ele never goes zerker ??? I guess not cause every decent wvw guild’s ele are (or maybe should i say “were”, since marauder is in test right now) running full zerker (with sometimes a bit valkyria cause of retal)

I prefer a mix of berzerker, valkyr and a bit captains trinkets on a staff nuker ele.
= Zerker Staff, Valk Armor, captains amulet and rings, zerker errings and backpack. Hoelbrak rune, strenght and fire or acuracy sigil.
But i rarely use staff and scraped my equipement for it now using a rampager staff if i need to use with my condi setup ….
