All I’ve ever wanted was for d/d to have some sort of viable dps build, wish they would just give it a few clutch dmg mitigation skills so that was possible. I’d really like for the air and fire line to both become viable for a dps spec, that way I’d have good reason to stay away from the awful design that is tempest.

We’ll have to wait and see what fate ele has in the next balance update, and to be honest I’m quite afraid.

Can we have a “Guild Wars 1 Elementalist” spec? I loved the fire/air viability, and dealing real damage with “ice”, coupled with control. #NerfIceEle

I’d quite like something like that as well, or at least something that let’s you specialize in an element or two.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t almost every team have a tempest in the world finals? Pretty sure that means its in the meta. I wouldn’t expect tempest to out of no where become offensive anytime soon. The very design of tempest is defensive/support. Just hope next expansion isn’t complete garbage I guess

While suport ele is still playable, i lately train more warrior ….
Always been ele main … Would be a pitty to main warrior…

I wonder what will happen to Ele once the solo/duo queue change goes through. The only meta build they currently have is highly dependent on having a competent team that will peel for you, which is less likely to happen with PUGs…

This may all change with the upcoming balance patch though…

I remember playing zerk d/d in WvW blob fights the first year the game was released. Try to do this today.
The class really got destroyed.

You can do an ok d/d boon support ele in a zerg. Your dmg not the best but you still can hit hard but your more there for cc and added heals / boons auras.
