Not really Ele related, but definitely topping my list. If they aren’t going to fix it, they need to stop forcing everyone to play it.
Curious. What was broken about this?
I managed to get the kills registered on the achievement.
1. Fix bugs and broken skills
^ If only this one happens, I’ll be happy.
2. Boost to damage or attack speeds (perferable the latter)
3. Shorten Attunment CD
4. Make conjured weapons better. (Remove uses?)
5. Tornado made better.EDIT: And maybe sometimes soon paid character appearance re-customization (PLZ Anet! I’ll give you the moneys!)

On Guildcast (Gamebreaker.tv vidcast thingie) they mentioned load of things incoming to the Gem store & name & character customisation was amongst them
Because according to popular opinion, investing two seconds of one’s time in opening your bags is an unacceptable hassle that should be removed as soon as possible.
Please, accept the fact people may have a different opinion than you, and that both opinions have the same weight. Nobody is asking to prioritize this fix, just that it would make lot of sense and what we have makes no sense at all.
There are various issues due to missing out-of-combar swap:
- is annoying, as any other bad UI
- forces you to keep weapons at specified locations in safe bags (hard to figure for newcomers)
- is unsafe, risk to sell your own weapons
- steals space in the inventory

- RTL counts as dodging
- Damage buff and/or cooldown reduce on most of our damage abilities
- Huge underwater damage buff
Expectations:
- Bunker builds get nerfed to the ground
- Evasive arcana no longer a blast finisher
RTL will still be broken, Evasive Arcana will get an ICD on the blast finisher, water heals/condi removal will be nerfed. Minor bug fixes.

I read your post, but since I’m not English mother tongue I read it as “someone complains just cause they have to spend 2 seconds in the inventory”. If that was not your intent, I’m sorry for the misunderstanding.

You’re quite wrong here, though.
minor dps boost across the board. Getting pretty tired of playing bunker builds and getting out damaged by TB warriors I’m kiting that switch to rifle when they arent in melee range.
Fix RTL
Oh ya this probably will never happen but it would be nice if they reduced some of our cast times and/or removed some of the directional facing/aiming requirements. Most of eles wpns arent pvp viable because the skills have castimes + aiming + facing requirements. FYI most other classes dont have this like ele does.
No more cooldown on attunement changing. If my engineer can swap a flamethrower for a mine-kit pretty much as fast as I hit #9, I don’t see why I can’t swap attunments pretty much as fast as I can hit F1, F2, F3, F4.
I’d also like an out-of-combat weapon swap. It’s annoying from an inventory management perspective when you’re swapping from two-to-one. More than once (while leveling up at least) I’ve sold something I shouldn’t have because it ended up in the ‘junk’ part of my inventory.
Last… The class just doesn’t make sense. The DPS doesn’t spike very much and isn’t that great on DoTs, either. Making it worse, is you can’t resist damage worth beans unless you completely cripple your DPS.
To make an elementalist that survives any realistic PvE situation… He can’t kill anything if he has a reasonable defense profile. If he can kill things, he can’t survive.
When I’m in Orr, if it’s a 5-to-1 PvE gang-bang, my Guardian has no trouble. My Ranger has no trouble. My Warrior has no trouble. My elementalist is going to die.
Even 1-on-1, when I’m playing the other three I don’t dread playing them. I know I can wade through most single-encounters quickly and efficiently. I know if I make a mistake and aggro too many, I can almost always work through situation.
But on my elementalist… It’s like “Oh, ****. I’m not with a zerg so I’m going to have to fight my way to the next safe are… I hope I can make it…”

Not broken. Just not everyone is interested in WvWvW. Plus some servers still have huge queues making it difficult for those who can only play at peak times.
In terms of out-of-combat weapon swapping, I think it’s more complicated than either side makes of it:
Those who favor it haven’t thought through what restrictions might be needed so it wouldn’t be abused. (I’m thinking of PvP, getting briefly out of combat — and Elementalists have a lot of movement options — and essentially going from twice as many weapon skills as other classes to four times as many.) Would there essentially need to be a “Weary of combat” condition that sticks around for 10 seconds after going OOC, the sole purpose of which is to stop Elementalist weapon swapping?
Those against it don’t think that it’s much more complex than just opening your bags. It’s easy to confuse weapons, and if you’re half-way through a swap from a staff to two daggers and a mob runs up and puts you in combat, you end up fighting with one hand empty.
Wouldnt mind a fall damage reduction trait in addition to bug fixes
Helped someone do Arah story yesterday, half way through swapping from staff (/yawn) to D/D, I got aggro`d.
Just try doing anything with one dagger….. ;p
Expectations:
-Weapon swaping during battle.
-Ride the lighning bug fix.
-Increased air damage.
-More damage.
It’s a longshot but I’m hoping for making scepter skills a bit more… meaningful. For example, earth 3 is mediocre in that no one will waste time and potential damage/healing whatever in return for a little blind (that will probably be wasted on an auto attack anyways). Also air attunement’s 2 and 3 really should be the same skill. A bit more usefulness into water auto attack and shatterstone would be awesome. Also aiming dragon tooth by mouse would be amazing (not asking for any other changes to d tooth except for the ability to aim).
Edit: I don’t see why people are asking for more damage. My ele with ~2100 toughness with earth 2 up and perma fury crits 5k firegrabs and 4k dragon teeth on the average toughness.

Move “written in stone” out of the grandmaster to a lower slot.
…did not happen. In fact ele got worse not better. A slight pve buff and a bunch of nerfs.
They “balanced” my tooltips guys…

Once when I was a kid, riding my bike home from elementary school, I hit a broken up patch of sidewalk going too fast and flipped over the handlebars. While I was brushing myself off trying not to cry, some teenagers from the nearby high school drove by, swerved like they were going to hit me, but really were just aiming for a puddle (it was South Florida, there were ALWAYS convenient puddles for kitten teenagers) to soak me from head to toe.
That’s how I feel right now. This is nothing but kicking us when we’re down, while they apologize to Rangers for not buffing them enough. I did not expect Staff Bunker to survive, but I did expect something to be offered in return, once they trimmed back the only build that I could get Dungeon teams using.

btw, RTl seems fine, as did Magnetic Grasp for the first two times, but then MG did nothing for next ffew attempts (I was in range, they didn`t dodge etc), but last two attempts it just put me in the old stun again.
Anyone else had this?

You say this as someone who doesn’t play Staff Ele.
They seem to be focusing more on skill changes over trait changes at this point, if we look at all the balancing updates until now. Bug fixes aside.
I also have played with Staff ele, with and without evasive arcana. EA felt unnatural, and it was clearly breaking the weapon’s combo fields.
Hopes:

You are the cause!!! Lol, just messing, follow a lot of your post Aether, you just happened to be spot on with this one… Was really hoping for some buffs to our other builds or maybe even base health, but looks like Nerfing is all we are going to get
