4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
Your keybinds?
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
W,A,S,D – movement
1-5 – weapon skills
Q,Y,X,C,R – skills 6-10 (german keyboard, Y is bottom left, where english layout has the Z)
F1-F4 – Attunement (habit, played like that since BWE1)
E – dodge
A = Strafe Left
D = Strafe Right
1-5 = Weapon Skills
Shift + 1-4 = Attunements
Q, E, R, G and mouse5 = Healing, utilities and elite
I use my mouse mostly, and my arrow keys to move.
I use a mini keyboard because I have smaller hands, and this is a setup that works well for me and lets me avoid hitting Esc (which I seem to do a lot when aiming for 1 or ~). I also don’t have a fancy mouse, so I just use it for turning left/right.
E,S,D,F: Move foward, strafe left, move back, strafe right
W and 1, 2, 3, 4, 5: Standard 1-5
Q,A,R,T,Z: 6-0
C: About face!
V: Dodge
G: Use/Loot/Etc
Shift+G: Drop the random thing picked up while I was looting
… That’s all I remember right now.
It also transfers pretty well to an Engineer and a Warrior, haven’t tried it with other classes.

on the naga.
I bought this this snazzy mouse mostly to help switch attunements more fluidly, though I’m finding it very useful for any profession thanks to the ready access to utility spells.
For keybindings, I mostly keep things as the default. The big change is I swapped F1-F4 for the 1-4 keys, then I mapped all the weapon and utility skills to thumb buttons on the mouse. That way, I can swap attunements (or use the Engineer’s Toolbelt skills) by quickly moving up from WASD to the 1-4 keys and use skills with just my thumb. I also assigned V to middle-mouse (so I can dodge easily) and 1 to the right-most mouse button, so my Thief and Necromancer can use their Steal and Death Shroud quickly. It’s a bit difficult to get used to, but the game is so much more fluid now. I love being able to use any of my Utility skills without having to move my hand off the movement keys.
How to Condi Reaper on a budget
Everything I say is only in reference to PvE and WvW.

W,A,S,D – movement
Q,E,R,T – attunements (easy to reach while moving)
default skill keys (7,8,9 are awkward, I think I might change to shift-1,2,3 for these)
V – target nearest
dodge bound to one of the extra buttons on my mouse.
I find this setup to be pretty good for attunement dancing.
WASD movement
1-5 weapon skills
shift dodge (I can’t imagine having to actually move a finger with all the dodge or die moments in this game)
Q heal
ERT utility
x elite
attunements extra mouse buttons
we may consider whether or not there is an incarnation of [ele] that would be viable
but balanced. For now, we do not expect it to see serious use.” – ANet
I run a pretty different config.
Arrow key movement
Weapon / utility skills on the Number Keypad numbers 1-9
Switch weapons on NumPad /
Jump on NumPad 0
About-face on NumPad .
Elite on Home
Weapon Sheath / Ready on End
Profession skills 1-4 (attunes for Elementalist) on Insert, Page Up, Delete, and Page Down
Interact on Shift
Autorun on NumLock (default I think)
Puts everything I need in a nice little cluster on the right side of my keyboard. I can hit all the keys I need using my left hand while keeping my right hand on the mouse at all times. I actually have 3 buttons on my mouse I don’t even use because I can get everything on my left hand. I typically keep my ring finger on the movement keys, my middle finger goes up to hit the profession skills / elite, and my pointer finger handles the weapon skills. No mapped Dodge key over there because I just use double-tap dodge.
1-4 attunements
5 = Target mark
f = Target get
x= next target
tab= nearest target
^= elite
wasd movement
q+e = Strafe left/right ( i know i dont need them but its a relic from other games marked in my head also i have enough other keys)
space = jump
shift = dodge
r+c = help skills
alt = pickup
Logitech mx laser:

I played a warrior so I didn’t have the ability to manage all these skills.
What are your keybinds?
1,2,3,4 for attunements
Mouse buttons 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 for skills
R for elite skill
Default movement buttons
ESDF = movement (S and F strafe, not turn)
1234 = attunements. M3 (middle mouse) is also the first slot attunement. since 1 is a bit out of the way, and it’s also nice for other classes
A M4 W M5 R = weapon skills. M4-7 are side mouse buttons. My mouse has two buttons on each side.
Z = heal skill
M6 M7 X = utility skills
B = elite skill
Q = dodge
Tab = weapon swap
V = turn around
C = look behind
T = nearest target
Caps = next target
WASD – Move, A&D Strafe, not turn.
Target Nearest – Mouse button near my thumb
Swap Weapon – Mouse Wheel Click
1-0 – Skillz
Q – Heal
R – Elite
F1-4 -Class Skills
Z – Town Clothes
X – Draw/Sheathe Weapons
C – Dodge
V – Slot Skill 1
E – Inventory
It’s not the most efficient setup, but it works for me, and having Town Clothes and Sheathe/Unsheathe weapons bound is just for fun. I could bind keys a lot better if I unbound those, but it’s fun.
WASD – Movement
Fire – Z
Water – X
Air – C
Earth – V
Weapon – 1-5
Heal – E
Utilities – Shift+1-3
Elite – R
Z-V are the easiest for me to reach all in an organized row so I used that for atunement swapping. Since I swap often it made it easy for me.
Utilities with their cooldowns are used less so Shift+X is that.
I just use the nostromo. Main five skills where my fingers naturally lay, signets ect in the top row of five, and attunments in the row of four. Mouse movement and the dpad on nos for movement also, though I find the dpad awkward to reach while casting. Such as for casting a placed spell while on the move. Meteor shower comes to mind.
