Zergs in Orr: Stuff dead before I can hit it
Two things.
1) Find something else to farm then come back when there are less people. There are other event chains that give solid rewards as well, but aren’t as repeatable as Plink.
2) If you choose to stick with the zerg, you have to have in mind where the enemy spawns are located. If you memorize that, with D/D, you can get close to the spawn points and open with your cone abilities: Drake’s Breath and Cone of Cold. These work WONDERS! Use also all of your PBAoEs to try to hit stuff before it drops (Arcane Wave, Earthquake, Ring of Fire, Frozen Burst, etc).
Fiery Greatsword is your friend in the zerg, also. Spin 10 miles forward and hit everything, lol.

Farm DEs with a staff, it will make your life much easier, especially if you’re an asura. It’s a lot easier to get your bearings and figure out where to lay down your aoe when you have range and can actually see your surroundings.
Be careful, though. One of the Halloween patches changed the shelter’s gate orr zergs so they will aggro immediately rather than waiting to reach the base first. Most of them have ranged attacks, so if you run in with any of your AoEs you may be asking for a dirt nap, even if you are far enough out of the way to avoid melee.
There is an easy solution to this. Just find one of the many hundreds of bot trains running patterns and just tag everything they hit. Easy money!
Hey, if Anet wont do anything about them I see no harm in tagging whatever they hit and then collecting mass loots! No rule against that!
won t work…u need to deal a certain amount of damage to get rewardsat least on a aprty lvl (so being in party helps a lot).
Btw using DD really let you solo without much efforts, just focus on fire spells.
p.S. staff is too slow and low AoE damage won t get you any reward…
A PvE player is supposed to avoid a 1-2 second 1 shotting aoe.
A WWW player is considered uncapable of avoiding a 5,75 second aoe for half his health.
I can tag fine as D/D. You have so many aoes at your disposal that it’s really quite easy once you have an idea of where the mobs spawn. Fire 2, 3, 4, ice 2, 3, earth 2, 4, and 5. For now, focus more on memorizing spawn locations and then just wait and be ready to dump your aoes.
I tag fine. Use S/D build with instant damage abilities. (for e.g Fire number 4, Arcane Blast, Earth number 4 etc)
Its much easier than my guardian.
Basically what Kat said. On D/D your faster than everyone else. You can tag like a king. Use your aoes and personally evasive arcana especially earth close second fire let me tag just running around. Cone of cold is one of my best taggers because it hits so hard.
The other thing is despite our crappy auto attack fire and air (when its not being buggy) are great for tagging.
