right now my current build is:
fire = 20 -the greater traits i put them for a bit more dmg + reducing cooldowns
air = 10 – I HATE running around slowly, so i put my trait in the move speed
earth = 20 – same as fire -bit more dmg and reducing cooldowns
arcana = 20 – i did it to reduce the attunement. traits in getting boons while changing attunement, and faster move speed when equipped with dagger
my gear: i crafted a set of armor with power + condition damage + vitality, and equipped it full of nightmare runes from the TA vendors which boost condition damage and duration.
as far as accessories goes.. i have cheap green ones, i am trying to craft exotic set… but i’m really slow at making money so it’ll be a while before i can manage to get my hands on better accessories.
my weapons of choice are mainly scepter + dagger. that’s what i use the most… and during dungeons more often than not i use the staff because i honestly am still pretty squishy… at level 80, currently the most health i have is like 14k
i mostly wanna focus on condition damage… planning on redoing my build… think i would like to put the 20 points of arcana into water instead…. get me some more health…
i have 2 problems… i know there are people out there who kill WAY faster than i do… and also… i’ve seen videos of people with a bare minimum of 18K health, have seen even in their 20k+… so i need some serious help.
i honestly don’t really have a good handle on elementalist, i’m pretty noob despite being level 80 (it was a breeze reaching 80) but hmm i know i suck lol… i’ve checked out other people’s builds and mostly have found precision/power builds… i am interested in condition dmg rather… although…. another problem i have is that i might have to give up on condition damage, considering i can’t really ever seem to keep conditions permanently.
if u guys could please give me some advise on how to create such a build, and tell me what kinda stats i should try for my gear + accessories, maybe even weapons… i would really appreciate it.

For one thing get rid of the move speed traits you have, they do NOT stack, and swiftness + Ride the Lightning provide you with the highest mobility in the game right now. Also I am mostly a PvP player and have found that full condition builds aren’t very effective there, do not really know if they are viable in PvE.

My PvP condition build is:
30 Fire: Burning Fire, Burning Precision, Fire’s Embrace
10 Air: Zephyr’s Boon
30 Earth: Signet Mastery, Elemental Shielding, Serrated Stones
Scepter + Focus
2x Sigil of Superior Agony
6x Superior Rune of the Undead
Carrion Amulet
Carrion Jewel
Glyph of Elemental Harmony
Signet of Fire
Signet of Air
Signet of Earth
Tornado
The idea is to stick to Earth attunement for offense, switching to other attunements for defensive skills only. Stone Shards can easily maintain 15 stacks of Bleeding on the target, and you can also maintain (provided it doesn’t get cleansed) near-permanent Burning with Signet of Fire. Extra Burning can be inflicted though Fire’s Embrace and Burning Precision + Zephyr’s Boon.
Overall I’m quite happy with this build. It has excellent single-target condition DPS, and with 17245 HP and 2606 Armour (when using Rock Barrier and Signet of Earth) it can take a bit of punishment. You can also maintain Protection on yourself reasonably often with Elemental Shielding, and Focus also provides a respectable repertoire of powerful defensive skills.
You can put only 20 points in Fire and no points in Air (disposing of Burning Precision and Zephyr’s Boon), the only reason I specced it this way is because there doesn’t seem to be much else that’s worth speccing in. I am very new to Elementalist however so I may be completely wrong.

Yeah best tip for a condition spec ele is log out – roll engi, necro, ranger, mesmer, or thief cause they all do it better.

I have a lot of success with a condition, toughness build. I win 90% or so 1v1 can contest a node against 2 indefinitely and can usually stall then escape against a large zerg. I rarely die unless its 4v1 or something and I’m too stunned to run.
This is an attrition spec so you win a fight over time not jump out of the woods and drop someone. A good ranged attacker is the only thing I really struggle with and bunker guardians can end up a stalemate.
Gear: I use S/D (smoldering/bleeding) with Undead Runes and Carrion Amulet.
You’ll have over 2.5k armor and 1.5k condition damage.
Spec:
Fire 10 (ember’s might)
Air 0
Earth 30 (earth’s embrace, salt stone and written in stone)
Water 20 (cleansing wave and cantrip mastery)
Arcane 10 (elemental attunement)
Signet of Restoration, Signet of Earth Cleansing Flame and Mist Form – Elemental Elite of course
With written in stone signet passives are always up so heal often and stun often, especially to set up a dragon’s tooth or churning earth. With cantrip mastery cleansing flame and mist form are up sooner so feel free to use them early in fights as well.
Burns and bleeds will wear down the target but use all your abilities.
Your knockdowns and and blinds lower the damage taken plus keeping rock barrier up and all the toughness you have you can take some hits. Plenty of healing and condition removal from water and phoenix.

Sorry, but…Stun often? How are you getting stuns off of signet skills? I use a build very similar to this, and use the AoE Blind from Signet of Air frequently to keep from getting interrupted out of Churning Earth. Most reliable setup I’ve come across is Burning Speed -> Earth Attune (for the cripple) -> Signet of Air (for the blind and fury/protection/fire aura) -> Churning Earth. It gets dodged a lot, but I tend to use Churning Earth more defensively to get people to disengage from melee and give me some breathing room (and drain all their endurance). Of course sometimes people will stand their and take it while trying to melee me down (Fury + Churning Earth HURTS). This is in WvW, though. I don’t do sPvP.
