Hopefully they reworked Shatterstone and buffed the auto-attacks. DT being ground-targeted is AWESOME. Finally!
Also, has anyone gotten a compilation of all the Ele changes incoming? I know D/D and Fire line got nerfed, but I missed the details.

From what I heard, Burning Fire no longer gives Might per Cantrip and Blinding Ashes had its ICD increased to 8s. Were there any other changes?
Also, Ring of Fire will now give:
-1 sec burn for 2 sec when crossing it
-2 sec burn for 4 sec initially
(Right now it’s 3 sec burn for 5 sec)
Haha yeah the Ice Bow nerf was kinda expected. I hope now we get meaningful changes to Conjures to make them actually worth slotting (not just Ice Bow.)

I’m gonna go ahead and say that this will probably be the biggest nerf we’ll get (from what I’ve seen so far.)
it will hurt dps eles more than d/d but if you pick vamp runes + elem contingency instead of the arcane shield at 25% you will still get vigour from being hit in water so it’s 8s/10s uptime.

No matter how you look at it it’s 9 stacks of might lost. A good trait that was a combination of 2 trait was just ruined and we lost the most potent half of it’s 2 component.
This is exactly what was supposed to be avoided with the new trait system. Instead of making it 2 stacks of might per cantrip instead of 3 they just completely destroyed it and removed all the might.
This is now the same bad trait it was before the trait merge, with less build variety.

Useless trait was merged with good trait, good part removed, back to useless trait. New trait system fail.
Sounds on lines with what they have been doing each atument line is only for one utility with the burning fire effect. Its still a cantrip for “free” but dose take a lot away from cantrip being the end all be all builds for ele.
For blinding ash i hope they make it icd per person it would be worth running even at 8 sec if they did that and not on its current icd per burn effect way to op for 1v1 but useless for any type of group play.
Most vigor on crit are on 10 sec cd kind of saw that coming but ele should never have real problems with vigor due to water line and on hit boons.
Over all more of a spvp thing realty should not effect wvw all that much nor pve.

buffing useless skills from scepter by 10% and nerfing others by 50%, they did the same thing on the icebow
I can’t play Scepter at this moment without ground-targeted Dragon’s Tooth. I also can’t help but just get rid of Icebow off my bar currently in disgust. They may have over-nerfed Icebow. 50% damage reduction? Ow but okay. Only 3 targets? I can accept that. Both? Well…can we get have some QoL improvements like weapon-swap being a “Conjure Storer” for ele…even if you have to trait for it!
Also, please please help the skills of Scepter:
-Make Arc Lightning a wider line or make the attack “chain” to 2 more targets + scale the damage higher toward the end of the channel.
-Make Lightning Strike a small AoE or slightly increase the damage + apply weakness.
-Increase the range of Ice Shards!
-Drastically increase the damage of Shatterstone and apply some kind of beneficial effect if you’re within it (convert conditions, extend boons, protection from boon loss, increase damage mitigation, something…) and increase the cooldown if necessary.
-Lower the cast of Stone Shards and/or make it a piercing skill and extend the bleed duration.
-Make Dust Devil a Whirl finisher on top of increasing damage.
As a S/D main pretty much since release, I couldn’t be happier with this news.
