so im working on me ele for fractals and was like what weapons is a must have on ascended quality to perfom at peak effecintiy

For fractals specifically? Or just in general. Overall I would recommend Staff to be your first priority, it’s the most widely used weapon in PvE that is and is the current ‘meta’ build. Dagger/Focus would also be a pretty good idea for high level fractal content.

All in all, Elementalist’s do not have access to that many different weapon types. So it isn’t that much of a hassle to craft them all.

Definitely staff at first, then you can get a scepter/focus set later. I did all my fractals with Staff.

I using three weapons setup. Staff, D/F and S/F.

Staff is for maximum damage. Work well against mobs that don’t move much and the party/me don’t need to much utility/support skills.

Scepter/Focus I never use it to fight (if you do take a LH). I use it only to pre-stack might. There is two situation for that. The first is when the boss is green and you can pre-stack to have 25 stack of might when the fight start and the PS warrior can keep it at 25 for the remaining of the fight. The second situation is when we don’t have any PS Warrior. Either way, I pre-stack might than swap weapons so I don’t fight with this set. It’s really optimal because I want to optimize my runs, but you can just skip this set all together.

Dagger/Focus is a hybrid between Staff and Scepter/Focus. You can stack might with that and you can fight. You don’t have as much dps as a staff, but you have more utilities and survivability. It’s a great set when the party lack might, projectile defense or if the fight is hard. It’s also IMO, the most fun and versatile weapons set than Staff.

In all seriousness, don’t worry about it. I would focus on acquiring ascended armor and trinkets and a legendary weapon of your choice.

Given enough time, you’ll eventually get an ascended weapons chest from somewhere and can alter the stats in the mystic forge to your liking.

The money and time investment to level artificer or weaponsmith to make ascended weapons and then the money and time to acquire the materials is better spent on working on a legendary weapon.

The AR from armor and trinkets is enough for like the 30s.

Might stacking rotation: fire 2 4 3, water 5 3, arcane brilliance (and wave if you have it), earth 4, swap to dagger, earth 4 5.

oke im not gono try get a focus by crafting was planning to get it with fractals
